IRNV is same with ironsight?

Close range is RDS+HOLO?

Magnified is FLIR(2x) + RDS(+magnifier)?

Medium range is the ACOG type scopes?

Do you know why they couldn't allow more leniency on the higher scale scopes? It's like the only way to get an actual working sens for me is to go above 100cm to do a 360, which is super far from my main 45cm 360.

Also, what is the value "GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivityCloseMagnRange 1.000000"?

How exactly to use the USA? My sensitivity is converted from CS:GO, with sensitivity 3, FOV 90, DPI 1600. And which ever scope I choose other than hip-fire, I get error messages saying my DPI too low etc. I like higher sensitivity because I only have limited space of the desk for my mouse. However I was still playing the game just fine without trying to tweak it. Also how could I ever know the FOV for each scoping modes? I think I just don't fully understand what USA means. Any further instruction will be much appreciated.

Any planned updates for the retail USA patch? You said that there were something different about the max values allowed for each scope setting.

The main point of USA from Dice's point of view, is to get an equal 2D distance for every scope. That means that moving the crosshair e.g. 2 inches on the screen requires the same mouse movement regardless of scope.

What many people might try to do though, is to use this to get an equal 360 distance for each scope, but that is not really possible, and probably not desirable. For instance if you have the same 360 distance with the 20X scope as with hipfire, it will be insanely sensitive with the 20X scope. Besides, it's usually not possible without also swapping DPI, since the coefficients for the USA settings only allow a certain amount of adjustment.

What you probably want to use the USA for is a couple of things; for other games that support scope sensitivity you can convert it to BF4 using USA, and you can fine-tune each scope so they feel the same.

It's already updated. It was the coefficient that has a max value of 2 :)

hey :-)

I dont understand how to use this ... I'd like to have the same sensitivity with all scopes (matching with my cs go sensitivity (810 dpi  / 1.09 in game sens / WPS 6)).

But I just dont get it, do I have to enable or to desable UsA in order to get that ?

I hope you guys can understand me, english is not my "main" language.

TY for answering, and a BIG BIG TY for everything you've done for us gamers, letting us play a lot of different games without screwing our muscle memory :-)

Ouchen.

Edit : The calculator is telling me this "Too Low Sensitivity - Minimum is: -0.0049"

And it keeps telling me this even if I put a higher sensitivity (not that I want this).

I need some help please ;(

I have one more question, I see there's no scaled x8 scopes etc, does that mean for those scopes it doesnt change anything ? scaled or not ?

The thing with USA is not that you want to use the same 360 distance for all scopes (that would make no sense with high zoom scopes), but rather to match the on-screen distance between scopes (i.e. moving 2 inches on-screen equals same mouse movement with all scopes). With all settings at default, USA does this pretty well, and is what it is actually designed for. Now what you can do is match say ironsight sensitivity in BF4 with aimed sensitivity in Planetside 2 etc, to get the same feel in both games.

You are getting the "Too low sensitivity" error because the numbers you are trying to convert is impossible to achieve.

Scaled sensitivity (meaning "Field of View Scaling in ADS" is turned on) only affects ironsight and 1x scopes.

Hello. Hopefully I'm posting in the right area. I don't seem to be able to create my own thread.

So I'm having trouble converting my Battlefield 3 sensitivity over to Battlefield 4. I have a Razer DeathAdder and I use 2400 DPI, a FOV of 90 at 1920x1080 and 10% sensitivity in Battlefield 3, and I'd like to convert that over to Battlefield 4. I subscribed for the advanced mode and tried inputting all my settings including FOV, but it doesn't seem to be that helpful. I have "uniform aiming" turned on in BF4 and I think what I need to be tweaking is the coefficient, but I'm uncertain. I set the general mouse sensitivity to 10% in BF4 too.

Anyway, this is what I put into the convert calculator.

Battlefield 3 - Hipfire
Sensitivity:
GstInput.MouseSensitivity .1
360° rotation:
2.7102 inches
Discrepancy:
0 inches
Actual HFOV:
106.26 degrees
1.85459 radians
Config HFOV:
90 degrees
1.570796 radians
VFOV:
73.74 degrees
1.287002 radians
HFOV Ratio:
-
2.288004 ratio

Battlefield 4 - Hipfire
Sensitivity:
GstInput.MouseSensitivity 0.01915
360° rotation:
2.7101 inches
Discrepancy:
-0.0001 inches
Config FOV:
GstRender.FieldOfViewVertical 79.59
Actual HFOV:
111.94 degrees

Any help is grealty appreciated. Thank you!

@DPI Wizard - you sure Battlefield 4 is not affected by FOV? I tried fov 74 and fov 105 in settings, they have different sensitivity result.

Updated with new vehicle sensitivitiy!

If you want to convert from old to new value, use the BF3 Vehicle sensitivity as input, as that one is identical to the old BF4 one.

Hello, DPI Wizard i have the following settings GstInput.MouseSensitivity 0.136904 @ 400 DPI 90 FOV.... when i transfer that to bf4 i get GstInput.MouseSensitivity 0.027638 @ 400 DPI GstRender.FieldOfViewVertical 73.74.. OK

With that being said, i know that bf3 has a multiplier of 0.5 for ADS, so in theory when u go ADS ur sens is 0.068452.

I want the exact same ADS sensitivity on BF4... i know how to set the exact hip fire in both games and keep the same fov, but i just cant understand how set up the same ADS sen....

Can u help me wizard?

Half of 0.136904 in BF3 is actually 0.065952, not 0.068452, you can't just divide the sensitivity in half :)

But in BF4 the ADS sensitivity is the same as in BF3 (0.5 multiplier). This is true whenever you don't use a scope, i.e. ironsight etc. If you want the same sensitivity for scopes, you can do that with the calculator. But a 12 inch 360 with a sniperscope is extremely sensitive :P

I'm very confused with the FOV & USA here and i'm in need for some help please.

So, my goal is to sync my desktop mouse distance with my BF4 hipfire & Coyote & vehicle mouse distance.

For starters these are my settings.

Screen resolution (2560*1440)

GstRender.ResolutionHeight 1440

GstRender.ResolutionHertz 0
GstRender.ResolutionScale 1.000000
GstRender.ResolutionWidth 2560

FOV

GstRender.FieldOfView 80.000000

GstRender.FieldOfViewScaleADS 1
GstRender.FieldOfViewVehicle 64.000000
GstRender.FieldOfViewVertical 64.000000

USA
GstInput.SoldierUniformAiming 1
GstInput.SoldierUniformAimingCoefficient 0.000000
GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivityAll 1.000000
GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivityCloseMagnRange 1.000000
GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivityCloseRange 1.340013
GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivityIronSight 1.000000
GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivityLongRange 1.000000
GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivityMediumRange 1.000000
GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivityVeryLongRange 1.000000

Mouse settings BF4 (Mouse DPI In-game = 2100)
GstInput.MouseRawInput 1
GstInput.MouseSensitivity 0.000035 (= 37.7cm 360 degrees)
GstInput.MouseSensitivityVehicle 0.077699

Desktop Settings (2560*1440)
Mouse DPI = 725 (is different from BF4 which is 2100)

Questions & what it did

1. Do i have to leave the FOV in the calculator at 55 for hipfire or do i have to change it to 64? (which is my FOV in-game)
because the game-info says FOV does not get affected but when i change it from 55 default to 64 which is mine FOV the distance also changes quite a lot in desktop mode ?
From 37.7cm to 33.6cm when entering 64 FOV. (anyway i kept it at 55 default does this match my desktop distance then?)

2. Do i have to change the FOV in the calculator to 64 for coyote sight scaled when i want to sync it with my hipfire or do i leave it at default 55? (i changed it to 64)

3. For vehicle sync do i have to change the FOV from horizontal Deg to Vertical Deg and set it to 64 or leave it to default?
(i left it to default horizontal 70)

4. Are the above settings correct for perfect sync between desktop / BF4?

5. What does the "GstInput.SoldierUniformAimingCoefficient" do? Because i here people saying to put it on 1.33 because it matches a 4;3 monitor ratio like in CS? wtf  what is it for? All i want is a perfect sync between my 2D desktop mouse distance and my BF4 hipfire / Coyote sight

Thx in advance!

BF4 is now updated to support all sensitivity variables.

Cool stuff but

This calculation require the following settings:
GstInput.MouseRawInput 1
GstInput.SoldierUniformAiming 1

So USA is ON again even if u put coefficent on 0
