Unreal Tournament '99

Recommended Posts

EDIT: It seemed to have fixed itself. Sorry about that, I have no idea why it wasn't working.

The sensitivity converter doesn't work correctly for me. I have the Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year Edition on Steam.

I have default Windows sensitivity (6/11) with "pointer precision" disabled. My mouse is a Logitech B100 with 800 DPI.

I convert it from Counter-Strike: Source using these settings:

Counter-Strike: Source - Hipfire

Sensitivity: sensitivity "3.0"

360° rotation: 6.8182 inches

Discrepancy: 0 inches

Unreal Tournament '99 - Hipfire

Sensitivity: MouseSensitivity=1.304783

360° rotation: 6.8182 inches

Discrepancy: 0 inches

Also FOV is the default 90 for both games.

When I set the game to 1.304783 sensitivity, it it way too high. Almost 1 swipe across my entire mousepad should be a 360 rotation, but it's about double that speed (so only like halfway across the mousepad does a 360 rotation).

I tried setting the sensitivity both in-game and in the user.ini file.

I also use the "Software rendering" option for the video driver, but I don't think that matters because I tried the other option as well.

When "Horizontal Degrees (4:3 Base)" is mentioned in the converter, I don't know what that means. Should I set the video to that resolution, because I tried that. But currently I run 1920x1080.

If you need any more information just ask. Your help is appreciated.

How do you convert your sensitvity using a different multiplier?

I'm using 20 sensitvity with

Axis aMouseX Speed=.7

Axis aMouseY Speed=.7

but If I wanted to switch to 1.0 or 6.0 how would I do that?

Would conversions for this game also work with Unreal Gold?

- since that doesn't seem to be included in the list of supported games.

I think it's the same engine but it might be a different multiplier or soemthing?

Unreal Gold has a lot of acceleration, so it's not added. I think the base sensitivity is the same though, but haven't confirmed it.
