July 31Jul 31 Kovaak’s feels significantly different depending on One Frame Thread Lag (Need technical explanation)I’m trying to understand whether this is expected behavior or if something is wrong with my system.My PC:Ryzen 7 7800X3DRTX 3060 12GBDDR5 6000 MT/s (EXPO enabled)Windows 11 25H2The game runs perfectly:Stable FPS.No stuttering.No frame drops.No obvious frame time issues.The strange part is the One Frame Thread Lag setting.When I set One Frame Thread Lag = OFF (the commonly recommended setting for lower input latency), something feels wrong. The mouse feels less consistent, and although the game is responsive, my aim training doesn’t transfer well into Battlefield 4. It takes me much longer to build consistency, and the improvement feels slow.However, when I set One Frame Thread Lag = ON, the difference is immediate. After only one training session in Kovaak’s, my performance in Battlefield 4 improves dramatically. My aim feels natural, tracking becomes easier, flicks become more consistent, and my overall performance is noticeably better.This isn’t a one-time placebo effect. I’ve repeated this comparison over many days:Training with ON consistently gives me much better in-game performance.Training with OFF consistently feels less effective and requires much more time before I reach a similar level.I’m not talking about FPS or stuttering—the game is smooth in both cases. I’m specifically talking about how the brain seems to learn and transfer aiming skill.So my questions are:Has anyone experienced the same thing?Why would enabling One Frame Thread Lag produce better real-world aiming performance despite adding a frame of latency?Could this be related to frame pacing, engine behavior, Windows 11 scheduling, NVIDIA drivers, or the RTX 3060?Is Kovaak’s known to behave differently on some hardware configurations?I’m looking for a technical explanation rather than advice to simply use OFF because it’s theoretically lower latency.
