Just curious. Have some debate with friends about ring or thumb to press Z. 

I actually use ESDF for my movement keys so it is actually much easier to use my pinky if I need it. But I still press Z with my ring finger.

Just a note: On german keyboards Z and Y are exchanged, so I voted for the wrong finger (index) by accident^^

I dont like binding anything to Z (US-layout) since it is uncomfortable to use in-game for me. But if I would use it, I would use my ring-finger

I used to be really confused why  Nickel (a bf player)  bind his prone to Y and says its default.  Your answer helped me.

i use my thumb for x c v f g b m and space. Feel like my thumb already has been too busy...
