  • Third person sensitivity is in!

Is the mouse input (at least in first person) seeming to work properly now, or does it still have the "analog" feel people have described over the past few days?

First person is working like it should, it does not have the analog stick issue. Should be easy for R* to fix third person, hopefully they get enough feedback to pick it up. I might be able to make sensible third person calculations too despite the issues, working on that now.

You're a hero lol. Trying to shoot NPCs in Online is a nightmare - screen shake + your point of aim being moved around in addition to said screen shake + accuracy bloom + enemies bobbing and weaving Matrix dodging your shots + badly set sensitivity = good luck hitting anyone. :S

They have their hands full with the errors at the moment I would say. Any luck with the janky 3rd person aim @DPI Wizard? The FOV for first person is horrendous.

Thank you! Do you recommend Raw input or Direct with smoothing all the way up?

There's 3 different cameras for in-game third person when you press the "v" key, the calculator settings only applies to the first 3rd person camera after you change it from first person?

They all have the same FOV and sensitivity, the only difference is the distance to the character/center of rotation.

It's the same for the 3rd person fov slider and also GTA V?

Is the FOV calculation the max fov the sliders can go to , or how do you calculate that as we dont have a value for the FOV

Use the arrow keys to adjust it, start from an empty bar which is 0, each click with the arrow keys is one multiplier. The default is 5 (bar half full) and the max is 10.

Also are the ADS values accurate as when converting my apex sense from apex to rdr 2 it doesnt feel right , then if i put in what the rdr 2 values are and set it to convert to apex the values comes off very wrong maybe its just apex legends scope sensitivity values are weird as it seems to be that way for every game

Since RDR2 only has 20 sensitivity steps you are most likely getting a calculation with a huge discrepancy. So it's limited by the lack of sensitivity precision in the game, and when you convert back the value will be wrong since it's based on a sensitivity with discrepancy.

All calculations are accurate, but in addition to the lack of precision the game has issues with smoothing and treating mouse input as an analog stick.

I strongly suggest those of you who want to play first person use the FOV mod that is out to increase it. I think it increases by 0.5 each step, would there be a way to test it @DPI Wizard?

Yeah ive used it , its great although its iffy if you are allowed to use it online unfortunately real shame how bad the fov in FP mode is

Fixed an issue that resulted in difficulty aiming with a mouse, especially at low DPI settings

From the latest patch notes. It also does seem fixed in game, turning off smoothing, but it may be placebo, idk.

Deadzone has been indeed fixed, no need to put max smoothing anymore.
