Calculator and ingame measurement discrepancy

Featured Replies

So

I've used the calculator for a while now but i was messing around with my sense(again)...and i noticed what the calculator tells me to input in order to get a certain 360 distance is off in all the games? Example,i enter 18 inches in BFV and when i measure the 360 distance in the actual game it's 15 inches. WTH is going on?

Have you checked your true DPI in the DPI Analyzer? The 360 distance calculation is based on the DPI you enter, and a lot of mouse sensors are not giving you the exact DPI you set in the driver. Also make sure acceleration/smoothing is off and raw input is on whenever that is an option.

how do you measure, if you are using kovaks sens matcher this seems very unlikely to happen, if you are using a ruler we have found the answer

I'm measuring with a tape measure. I've done this hundreds of times and i remember in the past whatever the calculator told me would match when i measured manually so...

Nothing has changed with the calculations (apart from obviously updating games that have changed). Are you getting the same result in 3D Aim Trainer?

no reason to rely on archaic measurements that are prone to discrepancies when there is a reliable alternative
