There is no difference between the versions, the sensitivity is exactly the same. The older versions might have some issues with packet loss which is why it seemed like the sensitivity was slightly different, but I've tested it again now to confirm that they are identical.

There is no difference between the versions that I can find, can you please explain exactly what you find is different? Maybe some setting I don't have enabled or something.

100% they are different, idk if theirs a option that changes it but as someone that plays Minecraft daily their is 100% a difference

Can you share your options.txt, and also elaborate on what you feel is different? Which one is faster and slower? What resolution do you play in? Fullscreen or windowed?

I've tracked down the problem now. If you use version 1.8.1 or lower you need to disable vsync and use a polling rate of 500 Hz or maybe even 250 Hz for the sensitivity to work correctly.

The issue is related to this fix for 1.8.2, and I've tested a few later version without seeing any issues. If you do have an issue with a later version, try the same fixes though.
