if want to convert my dpi from  1280-1024  to 2560-1440 

what number do i multiply to ?

I depends a little on what you want, but for Windows; double the DPI.

For games you have to use the calculator to see if you need to change anything.

Then you generally do not have to do anything to keep the same sensitivity when it comes to 360 distance. Games that are affected by FOV might need a little adjusting however.
