I noticed this myself, I googled it and it seems that others have aswell. Can you confirm this?

Got no problems with higher polling rates here, if there is an issue it's probably hardware or driver related I guess.

im on windows 11, only thing i have noticed is mouse randomly feels sluggish on desktop moving through opened windows, may have some bug with gsync/freesync

For me it was especially noticable when I was playing cs:go. That being said I do not use g-sync/freesync.

Yeah. I always have it on.

Maybe it happens with relation to the faceit anti-cheat.

Is it sluggish like there is a delay, or is the 360 distance etc just plain wrong?

The distance travelled feels inaccurate.

Ok, this is typically what you get in Unreal Engine 4 games with smoothing on and 1000+ Hz. It is completely unrelated to the OS though, and a deliberate (and horrible) function of the game engine. In CSGO with raw input on I have never encountered this though.

Have you tried to check the sensitivity with a tool like Kovaak's sensitivity matcher? Although it does not replicate a physical mouse input, it does usually (but not always) stress the OS and game enough to check for inconsistencies.

Maybe it was a gpu driver issue all along.

Today for no reason my screen started flashing, and afterwards a window popped up indicating that my gpu drivers were "incompatible" with my hardware. I uninstalled using ddu in safe mode and I reinstalled the drivers having changed "device installation settings" to "no" prior to that. I changed the mouse's polling rate back to 1000hz and I played csgo with bots in a custom map for 5 minutes. I didn't have any issues... If I encounter the same thing again I will report back. Thank you for your time. I'm sorry my thread possibly turned out to be irrelevant.

Not irrelevant, if the GPU driver can cause such issues it's good to know!

I am speculating now, but I think the issues that the drivers had, affected the mouse input because I had "GPU scaling" enabled under "display" settings.

GPU scaling should be used for csgo at least at my system. Display scaling gave me stutter ingame.

Same applies for mine. I was just trying to connect the gpu driver issue with the mouse input problem.
