Problems with CS2 sensitivity conversion to R6 and CS2 hipfire sensitivity conversion to AWP and SG scope

Featured Replies

I'm new to the site so I'm having a little trouble converting the sensitivity correctly. Well, let's go, I wanted to convert my CS sensitivity to rainbow six and keep the same distance in centimeters that I do to do a 360 in cs (4.2154cm) both in rainbow six's hipfire and in ADS, but I'm not sure how to configure the dpi calculator for this, I also wanted to convert the cs hipfire sensitivity to the awp and sg's scope.
My setup is based on CS's hipfire, as I haven't been able to fix the AWP's scope sensitivity yet:

2900 DPI
16:10 - 1440x900 (my resolution without stretching is 1920x1080)
27 inches
3.40 sensitivity

in R6 I use the same resolution and 65 fov

Welcome!

First of all, using the same 360 distance for everything is not recommended, and in most cases not even possible because of limitations in the games.

You can see your specific settings here, and as you see all the high power scopes are out of range. And either way, anything higher than a normal ADS will be insanely sensitive and aiming at something will be literally impossible because your crosshair will skip many pixels at the minimum movement.

For aims (other than low zoom ADS) you want to match the movement based on what you see on the monitor, so for instance moving the mouse to aim at an enemy at the edge of your monitor, or tracking a moving enemy, is is the same regardless of zoom power. However you can't have both since the FOV is different, so you have choose which is more important, tracking or flicking.

Well, do you have any suggestions on what I could test?

It depends on what you prefer, but the default setting in the calculator will keep the same tracking speed between all aims.

However, this might feel slow for some, especially for close combat. In those cases your should try Monitor Distance Vertical 100%, 133.3333% or 177.7778%. These are the typical default for games, and gets progressively faster.

I used Monitor Distance Vertical 171% to convert the CS2 hipfire sensitivity to the AWP scope and it worked relatively well, but on the R6 I can't fix the sensitivity at all, either it's too slow or too fast.
