ARC Raiders

Disable smoothing/acceleration by using a polling rate of 250 Hz or lower. Using a higher polling rate will result in a lot of negative acceleration!

Hey, theres another Sens Slider in the Game now?

Zoom Sens and Scoped Sens.

Am i missing something? Seems like theres only one setting in the calculator?

Is this still in the game? Are they joking with this one?

Looks like it was in Server Slam, see shroud's server slam VOD (note you can just see the top of the S above his camera). Though it was probably hard to get a scoped weapon and the practice range didn't exist.

Has anyone gotten a feel of the Scoped Zoom Sensitivity multiplier?

Does using 250Hz or lower actually fix all the issues? Because i've noticed that when you enter a raid your sens can vary quite a bit. Also the more times you do a 360 in one direction the more your sens diviates. When i use the sensitivity matcher tool to measure my cm/360 when i enter the firing range and then use it to spin 100 times, the sens will be quite a bit higher after (about 10-20% higher with 125Hz). I tested this at 125-1000Hz at a locked 120fps and the problems seems to be there no matter the polling rate, though higher rates seem to have way more variance.

Anything above 1k feels completely cooked, can't go lower than 1k tho, guess I'll stick with that for now.

Still smoothing issues yes.

I need to craft or find the weapons to be able to analyze them, haven't gotten to it yet.

250 Hz makes it a lot better, but I've seen the same issue as you, maybe triggered by alt-tabbing out of the game.

anyone actually tried any ini tweaks for this Unreal Engine game and see if that fixes the polling issue past 250hz?

Yeah, haven't found any fixes that work atm.

I added some standard UE4 lines to my .ini and it seemed to be working for me. Before I was using 250Hz with standard .ini, now I'm trying this + standard 1000Hz. However my testing was not extensive.

This does not work unfortunately, you will see a significant difference between 1000Hz and 250Hz still, and 250Hz is only correct if not turning at full speed. If you move your mouse really fast only 125Hz seem to be accurate.

Dang that is really disappointing. Truly hate tracking close to the center of the monitor with low Hz polling rate but also detest the neg acceleration at 1kHz. I wonder why the ini lines don't seem to change anything in-engine.

Okay well this is really not good, does the developers know about this and will fix it???

I sure hope so! And it's extremely easy to fix, literally setting one option from True to False solves it.

There's only two options in the game, the Osprey uses the scoped zoom setting, everything else uses the zoom setting. So for all the other ones you have choose which weapon you want to match for.

Maybe try hidusbf to downclock if you are really desperate. Make sure to revert if you are playing another game.

Can confirm hidusbf allows me to reduce my OP1 8K to 250hz.

I was gonna say, has there been any updates testing wise if this is still a thing with the most recent patch?

I saw some vid of someone claiming adding this to the gameusersettings.ini would disable mouse smoothing

[/Script/Engine.GameUserSettings]

bEnableMouseSmoothing=False

Has this been debunked?

Yeah, does not work.

I'm actually having trouble finding a sens that matches previously played games, For example

Marvel Rivals UE5 Game
In-game sens 0.64 and a DPI of 1600
convert that to
Arc Raiders UE5 Game
"Calculated sensitivity too high for ADS"

At the moment I have just 50 for both axis. Is there a setting in the calculator that I need to change to make it possible?

  • Wizard

This happens because the ADS sensitivity for some reason maxes out at 100, while the scope goes to 200. And because of the FOV difference from Rivals you need an ADS sensitivity higher than 100 to match it. The only solution is to lower to FOV in ARC to 60, that should bring the ADS sensitivities within range.

Okay, awesome Ill give that a try!!
