When you hold breath with 1x/ironsight the fov changes. I know there is only one sens option but could we get the correct sens values for "Non-magnified scope sensitivity" when holding breath in the calc?
-
May I ask someone to calculate my scope sens for this game? I have been premium subscribed serveral times, maybe I can get this one calc for free xD
I play 800 dpi, 1.0 sens in csgo. In super people I know my hipfire, but need universal scoping sensitivity, like in csgo with zoom_sens 0.818933027098955175.
My fov in Super people is 106 set with menu slider.
If not appropriate, you can delete my post

Can you test what the "mouse acelleration" setting does? In the description it says it enables raw input.....and the cfg command is "RawInputMouseKeyboard". Naming it mouse acelleration would be very inappropriate though.

Can someone help me convert zoom sens from apex, would much appreciate!
My apex zoom sens scaler is 0.75
Also do you know where the config file is stored?
-
But then you have to press that button everytime you un-ads, isn't that annoying?
-
Thank you very much!

@ DPI Wizard
If I set my sensitivity and zoom sensitivity in the config file like this:
mouse_sensitivity "0.375555"
mouse_use_per_scope_sensitivity_scalars "0"
mouse_zoomed_sensitivity_scalar_0 "0.666666"Does the game round up or cut out any decimals or not? What's the maximum number of decimals one can use, do you know?

original fov: cl_fovScale 1.341899
bind: bind_US_standard "mouse2" "+zoom; cl_fovScale 1.566500"How do you go back to 1.341899 after zooming out again?

I've never actually considered this, or know if it's even possible. But it's an interesting question! Do you have any games in mind that this is particularly obvious from?
I think if you look at extreme examples like in this CSGO vid -
- It's not only visually unappealing but turning gives this weird nauseating effect...the environment is morphing when you turn. I think the same effect but way way more subtle will be in any game when using non-native FOV. In theory you should be able to play better with correct FOV.(discounting other pros and cons of different FOV values)
Maybe someone here has worked with different engines and can inform us on how it all works when creating a game....
Only other game I can think of where FOV is handicapping me is PUBG but for a different reason. They made center of rotation different from where your Camera is located and worse the point of your camera in ADS changes with different guns....I'm sure that's also fun for your job of converting sensitivities
-
Thanks!
Do you think the native FOV is hardset by the engine of the game or something the game developer sets to their liking? If the former, maybe 90° at 4:3 is native since apex runs on Source!?
I don't get motion sick or anything in apex, but I think it might make a difference in how easy it is for your brain to do fast turns and keeping good orientation.
Any testing method to figure out the native FOV come to mind?

Is the default FOV (1.27216005) in apex the actual native FOV with zero visual distortions, do you know?
-
nvm

Makes sense, thanks again!!

@DPI Wizard
I want to convert from CSgo to Apex, keeping the same sensitivity(2), zoom sens(0.818933) and FOV(106.26).
I thougth the cl_fovScale should be 1.518 since 70*1.518=106.26 and on page 3 of this thread you recommended doing this as well....
ZitatYou should change the Apex FOV to 106.26 to match the 90 you have in R6 (they use different FOV Types), which will make the sensitivity more consistent. The in-game FOV setting in Apex is quite inaccurate, so if you want it dead on set cl_fovScale to 1.518 in %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\profile\profile.cfg.
However when I use the calculator it says to use cl_fovScale "1.285714" to get 106.26. What am I missing here?
Is mouse_zoomed_sensitivity_scalar_0 "1.000000" in apex the same as CSgo zoom_sensitivity 0.818933 or 1?
Thank you, keep up the good work!

Awesome, thank you!
