  1. Hello. I was wondering if someone could check over my inputs and tell me whether or not they are correct. Need help figuring out how to match the FOVs on R6 and kovaaks.

    R6 Settings: 13-13-49 at 84fov with a 4:3 aspect ratio. Default multipliers.

    Here are my inputs:

    Here are my outputs:

Since im using a 4:3 aspect ratio in R6 im confused on whether or not i should select the "4:3 stretched" configuration on kovaaks under the aspect ratio selection. I have tried switching to 1440x1080 custom res in kovaaks to but i dont think that worked as i intended it to.

If Kovaak's also is 4:3 stretched to 16:9 this is correct again, but note the "Config FOV" is what you need to configure to get the calculated FOV. If you switch FOV Measurement in Kovaak's to vertical you can enter the Vdeg value directly. But as long as the Actual FOV is the same and you configure the FOV in the game according to the output you're doing it correctly.

Yes, i take the config FOV value and input that into kovaaks. If i play kovaaks with the "Horizontal 4:3 FOV measurement" preset in game, do i then select the "4:3 Stretched Aspect Ratio" input in addition to the "4:3 Aspect Ratio" input? I am confused between the difference of these two inputs, primarily because there is no option to change the aspect ratio, only the FOV measurement.

  3. I have 3 questions: 1) I'm confused between the difference of the "FOV Type" and "Aspect Ratio" feature. My monitor has a 1920x1080 defualt resolution, so if i play RB6 with the 4:3 aspect ratio preset in-game, would i then change the "Aspect Ratio" variable to "4:3 Stretched" and keep the "FOV Type" to Vdeg (instead of Hdeg 4:3)? My settings then look as such:

    2) I want to convert to Kovaaks, and i play with the 4:3 FOV measurement preset in kovaaks. Do i then use the 4:3 stretched "Aspect Ratio" input, or keep it defualt? My goal is to match my R6 ADS sensitivity and FOV to match directly into Kovaaks. Thanks in advance :) My final results are as follows:

    3) Are these the correct settings to get a perfect sensitivity match?

  5. I understand that the "Actual HFOV" should be the same, but if i use Hdeg 4:3 and match the "Actual HFOV" i get the same result. I still dont fully understand the difference between selecting Vdeg and Hdeg4:3/16:9. How do i know which option is correct for me?

  6. Hey again. So i went back to look at my conversion from RB to kovaaks, and was wondering what to put in the "FOV Type" section for kovaaks. My display is 16:9, but i play both RB and Kovaaks at a 4:3 res. Im asking because whenever i change the "FOV type" it gives me different values for the config FOV. I dont know which setting is the correct to choose between (Hdeg 4:3, Hdeg 16:9 or Vdeg). Don't want to be practicing with the wrong FOV here. Thanks in advance :)

If you have the aspect ratio in R6 set to 4:3, then enter a 4:3 resolution. If the resolution is stretched you can only match either horizontal or vertical FOV with 16:9, not both.

Even if i run kovaaks on a 4:3 res, i can not get a 1:1 scale?

Note how the Actual VFOV of ADS in R6 is 81, and this value is used for Kovaak's with the FOV Measurement set to vertical.

So if my R6 FOV is 4:3 90, then how should i compensate for this in the calculation?

  10. I am attempting to convert my R6 sens to kovaaks with a 1:1 scale.  Here is my current setup:

    Here are my kovaaks settings:

Im confused as to whether or not Kovaaks is running in 4:3 resolution with the Quake/Src preset. Should i be using the Hdeg 4:3 'FOV Type' for this conversion, then?

  11. I wish to calculate the viewspeed from RB6 when i ADS using holo/red/reflex to a hipfire value for CSGO. If i calculate using the 'Ironsight' option from RB6 to a hipfire value for CSGO, will this result also work when i ADS using holo/red/reflex?

ie: Does the value from ironsight also work for holo/red/reflex sights?

If you have trouble understanding, i can take screenshots. Thanks for the assistance!

Yeah, the relation between hipfire and zoom sensitivity is too high. Are those your actual settings from Rainbow Six? Seems like hipfire is insanely sensitive.

Yes, they are. However the X-factor aiming value is what increases the distance to achieve a 360. If i had a normal X-factor value, then my sens would be insanely high. I'm still confused about which value i should input into the sens.1 input for CSGO.
