Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT

The sensitivity and FOV changes depending on certain actions and where you are (indoor etc). The calculations are for the view when you move around outdoor.

Worth taking a second look into this game to update the sens calc/instructions, seeing as it's coming to steam soon as far as I can see. Something about the ini file is borked (as you can see from the replies above) and it's worth looking into, especially since it's F2P.

I don't think the .ini ever worked like you'd expect it to, you have to change it in game by using the keybinds or moving the ads slider pixel by pixel only using the config to check the actual values since their not visible in game. Definitely not the smoothest experience.

Has there been any updates regarding Steam, I know they confirmed it would eventually make it to Steam but I don't remember any details about when that would be.

Not sure which sight DPI Wizard used for the calculations but I suspect it's the standard scope for the Blaser/DSR based on the fov used.

@DPI Wizard Could you confirm this? If this is the case, would it be possible to get an option for the Viper Scope (5.0x)? My headshotting gun is the HK417, which can't equip any scopes with greater magnitude of zoom than that (5.0x).

Now that that latest update introduced a headshot-specializing bullet that extends the HK417's one-shot range, I'd really love to fix my zoom sens.

The DSR scope you get when starting a sniper match is what I've used. I haven't unlocked anything, not sure if I have access to more scopes?

Either way I slightly updated it now as the FOV was off by a little bit.

Has anyone figured out how to make the settings file work?

Works here, are you adding the sensitivity line correctly? That is use both values from the calculation and make one line of it, so for instance this:

mouse_sensitivity=3.272736,x.xxxxxx
mouse_sensitivity=x.xxxxxx,0.942446

Becomes this:

mouse_sensitivity=3.272736,0.942446

Yup I do that but it doesn't seem to apply. The workaround I've done is to edit ingame and keep opening/closing the file to see how close I got to the calculator's recommend setting. Right now adjusting pixel by pixel I'm off by 0.20% which is arguably indiscernible. Just a hassle though, I thought.

Also, I'm using the steam version, and it's ironsight_local.ini not iron_sight_local.ini if that means anything. Can't find where to download the standalone game.

What I tried was doing the sens via the config file as you have shown there (my sens is mouse_sensitivity=5.999154,0.867655), but before that I change it ingame to something obnoxious like 12.0,3.0. I close the game, change the file, and open the game, and it doesn't apply. When I check the file, it says mouse_sensitivity=5.999154,0.867655However, ingame the sens is still the obnoxious thing I set.

That's where I gave up, since I don't know which file it's using anymore. The method I mentioned in the first paragraph reflected its changes in the ironsight_local.ini in the game folder (steamapps>common>Ironsight wpg), so it must be that file, but I don't know why editing offline to the file makes it not reflect changes.

Yea, I just checked the game now, and changing it in the config file does no longer work. I've kept the calculation there so you can see the exact value, but renamed it "Legacy Config File".

Hellow ^^

I played a bit with the Calculator and found out that the calculated FOV for ADS/Scopes does not seem to be correct.

The FOV of ADS is always the same (65 VFOV for the Clear Sight for example) but when using an Hipfire FOV below that value (50 VFOV for example, that is the lowest), the FOV simply doesn't change when using the ADS.

The Calculator however does not recognise this and will always use the same FOV for the ADS, even when you use a Hipfire FOV that is below the ADS FOV, which results in the calculator displaying that you have a higher FOV in ADS than in Hipfire, which obviously is not true.

I would assume that this also results in a false Sensitivity calculation, since I assume that the Sens is calculated based on the FOV (Unless when using cm/360° as a calculation method for ADS.

I couldn't test the same with the Sniper Scope.
