FoV and sensitivity.

So i'm trying to find the best way to stay consistent in different games. So I tried playing with 103 FoV in all games to keep it feeling exactly the same, however in Rust and apex this feels INCREDIBLY low. Would a viable alternative be to match hipfire sens by viewspeed instead of 360 distance, allowing me to play at the max fov for each game?

the 2 go to options are 360 distance(and matching the fov )  or 0% ( and having different 360 distance thus not being uniform when it comes to movement )

during my testing i haven't found any better alternative to 360 +matched fov ( and if you think about it higher fov =  smaller enemies ,which isnt necessarily favorable  in any  battleroyale game)

going up to 73.74 vdeg would be viable for the games you mentioned its slightly more than 103 and is supported by most games besides of valorant and overwatch

on that note make sure you are using the config file fov option in apex since the in game version isnt correct

On Rust, I couldn't even see my bow with 103 fov. The reason i want 103 fov is because of valorant and OW, and cs is not far off either. I was using the calculator on the in game setting for apex. Another option would be to use a mouse accel driver so I can adjust the accel based on the fov of the game.

for apex you should stick to the settings file due to the difference

OW, and cs is not far off either. ( a small difference in fov can mess  with your aim more than you'd guess )

you could look up the focal length method on the forum that might work in you case

changing your mouse acceleration in order to "fix " this non existent issue wont do you any good

After looking at the focal length method, I am extremely confused. Are you able to explain how i would use it to transfer sens between two games with different FoVs?

you know about the impact having a different fov has on your viewspeed when using 360 hipfire

too tired to explain it in full length rn but

the method basically creates a custom res that conforms  to the respective focal length allowing you to use the same 360 distance ( which feels pretty much identical due to the black bars )

^has its limits unless you want to play with blackbars the size of a mini van

but it works for switching between csgo and overwatch / valorant base fov

Can't find anything about that when i search for it, and honestly having black bars does not seem appealing to me at all. I'll probably just match using MM 0% for hipfire, as i dont mind the change in 360 speed unless it goes too low.
