To set the sensitivity in the config file, first set both Mouse Sensitivity and ADS Mouse Sensitivity to 0 in-game, then exit.

Open the file [GAME FOLDER]\RaidGame\Saved\SaveGames\ControlSettings.sav in a Hex editor, like Hex Editor Neo which is free.

Look for the four bytes "0ad7233c" following "Sensitivity01 FloatProperty" and "Sensitivity02 FloatProperty", these are hipfire and ADS respectively (the screenshots show 0.01 for in-game, this should be 0):

Change these two to the calculated values for hipfire and ADS:

Save the file and close it, then start the game and it should be perfectly matched.

  • The sensitivity is still the same, but the range is increased a bit.
  • The ADS in the calculation is the SMG you start with.
  • You have to use a polling rate of 500 Hz or lower to avoid the negative acceleration due to smoothing.
  • The slider is very inaccurate, it can be off by over 30%, but setting the sensitivity in the config file works now. I've added instructions in the second post :)

What is Negative Acceleration?
For example, what if the polling rate was 2000hz or 4000hz?

There are mouse that support 4000hz.

It's a bit of an oxymoron, but what it means is that the game either misses reports or is trying to "smooth" them, resulting in the mouse movement being a lot longer than it should be. And it's not stable, the actual movmement is all over the place.

So it's the opposite of acceleration where the movement is shorter.

Using a high polling rate over 1000 Hz is not recommended as a lot of games struggle with this. Most handle 1000 Hz, but some (like this one) has smoothing enabled by default resulting in this negative acceleration.

you cant set the ingame sens to 0.01 anymore, its a simple slider from 1 to 100, and all of them can go to 1

could you by chance tell us the four bytes for when setting the sens values to 1 instead of 0.01?

It goes from 0-100, this is already updated for the in-game calculations.

And the config file calculation already has a minimum of 0.01.

Make sure to select the correct location, and let me know if you have any issues :)

Hey wizard,

I'm having a lot of trouble finding the hex for the sensitivities, any chance you could update the your hex example for .01 to something that's a whole number for the new slider?

thanks a bunch.

@DPI Wizard

Set it to 0 in-game, that's the "old" 0.01, the rest of the instructions should be correct :)
