Okay with raw input on I'm measuring something more along the lines of 42 cm (and seeing as I have to use 90 FOV in the calculations, that gives me 40 cm) which makes sense considering the margin for error.

Thanks for your help!

Hi DPIWizard,

I stil don't understand, i play counterstrike on a 1080p screen (and so the fov should be 106) should i put this in the calculator or not???

Keep up the great work xD

Put it in, the calculator will only use the FOV value if it affects the sensitivity:) Resolution have no effect on sensitivity in CS though, so you don't have to worry about that.

Why is the sensitivity I get with this site not accurate on my Deathadder 2013?

It is 90 unless you have a 3rd party FOV changer or are playing on a server with cheats enabled and change the fov_cs_debug value in the console.

I am using a ruler on Counter Strike GO 1000HZ Polling 1600DPI wps 6/11 and I think my FOV is 68. That's is what it says but I have it at the default. I tried changing to 90 but it doesn't let me.

CS: GO won't let you change FOV without cheats or some 3rd party application. Try using the default FOV (90, just don't enter anything in the field and it will use the default) in the calculator, and see if the calculations are correct for you.

I deleted the CS:GO file in Steam Apps but the FOV is automatically at 68?

In cs go if you are using

16:9 your fov = 106

4:3 your fov = 90

The fov your talking about is of the viewmodel. Hope this help.

Correct SpookyVII. I'm adding a more advanced FOV feature in a future update to hopefully avoid any confusion regarding horizontal FOV, vertical FOV and aspect ratio :)

How do I check my FOV in CS:GO. I put in Viewmodel_fov and it said it was at 68 but you say it should be 90?

Viewmodel_fov is how the weapons are rendered if I recall correctly, not your actual FOV. Unless you have changed the default, it should be 90.

Oh, thanks for clearing that up. This is a Fantastic Site I was telling my friend about it. But if I do a 360 in 8 inches is 800 DPI enough? In CS:GO I use 6/11 Windows, 800 DPI, and 2.55 sens.

In that case, If I'm playing CS:GO at 1920x1080 (16:9), should I put 106 into the FoV field when calculating sensitivities?

Its really up to preference. In my personal opinion 5 is a bit high for CS:GO. But it has variants like whether you have enough mouse space etc.

I use 6/11 400 2.8 for CS:GO, I do a 360 in about 14.5 inches of mouse movement. Is this accurate. I wanna have 400 DPI because all the good people do, I don't know why.

i am having troubles converting a CS:GO sensitivity into a TF2 one. The calculator treats them as using the same sensitivity but the clearly do not. CS has a max as 20 and TF2 has a max of 6 but the calculator tells me to input the same sensitivity for both games. Can this be sorted out?

They are using the same game engine and sensitivity. What you see as min and max in the menus are usually not the limits of the game, you need to edit the config file to go beyond these values :)
