Hey DPI Wiz,

First time poster, relatively new to the site.

I noticed in toxikk theres a setting called "MouseAccelExponent."

at first glance, like most of us, we see something with "Accel" we immediately want to squash it and set it to "false" or "0"

but I assume it affects mouse accel exponentially.

so if accel is false with exponent 1 it would calculate 0^1 = 0

but if its accel off and exponent 0 it would be 0^0 = 1?

Should we even bother with the exponent if accel is set to false?

I suppose it would matter if accel set to false mean acceleration is set to 0

or if it means its completely disabled and not even a factor and therefore ^1

would not even be applicable.

I need some help with the sensitivity settings, from TF2 or CS:GO my mouse sensitivity in toxikk is nowhere near the same as it would be in those 2 other games, in toxikk it feels much higher, around 8 or 9 inches per 360 rather then my normal 11.7 inches/360 for TF2/CSGO. I use 90 fov for TF2 with 1.74 in-game sens along with 800 dpi, could use some help!

Toxikk had the wrong FOV base in the formula, terribly sorry about that!

Fixed now, try calculating again :)

Hi DPI WIzard, I started playing this game and was wondering if you know what Monitor Match distance the game uses for its ADS? there are no setting for it and I really like it and was wondering if its 0% or 56.25 or 75% so that i can use the same on other games.

When a game uses monitor match, it is usually achieved by doing hipfire fov / zoom fov, and so the match percent will depend on what type of game the game is using. Since the game is using 4:3 horizontal, there is a high chance it is 75%. If a game is vertical fov, it will be 56.25%, and if it is horizontal, it will be 100%.

Just from quickly testing, it seems like the calculations are off and need to be updated. I tested with accel off, and smoothing disabled.

  • The results are too high.
  • The game seems to only be accurate to 2 decimals.
  • Seems to be something higher than 56.25% for scope, but not quite 75%.

My settings: Windows/Desktop, 300 DPI, 1920x1080, monitor match 56.25% to Toxikk, 2400 DPI, 105 FOV.

Result: 1.601765. The correct value seems to be between 1.33 (too slow) and 1.34 (too fast), with extra decimals doing nothing.

At 110 FOV, result is 1.619315, correct value is roughly 1.33.

toxikk, tribes ascend, ut3, ut2004, ut99, etc. actually all have fov type hdeg res and therefore 100 %.

Correct, a lot of these games were added before there was support for different FOV types. I'll go through them, Toxikk is updated now.
