Pyroxia reacted to DPI Wizard in Add something about the sensitivity conversion way of MDH(MDV)
MDD is actually quite useful in the next feature I'm working on, which is to reverse-engineer the best method and percent/power/scale values based on existing sensitivity settings. So if you have settings that are a bit out of whack, MDD can sometimes be massaged to fit it better than other methods.

I have added these now, but noticed that they also change depending on weapon type, and both the FOV and sensitivity for these are all over the place. There's absolutely no logic behind it, but the calculations are accurate providing it's the correct weapon and scope.
I've also updated the FOV calculations for hipfire slightly, so it's more accurate now.
They are a lot faster indeed.

Pyroxia got a reaction from AJ141299 in Windows sensitivity affects in game aiming if you match!!!
my aiming completely changed general. I would say %0mm from windows to game make my 3d aiming faster I aim hardly precise. this cause problems for me. I justbusing mdh %110 because I need to check my windows sensitivity affects aiming thing without changing my 3d sensitivity. So I just changed my wps to match it equals to %100mdh closely. It must be funny for most of the players here but I lost my accuracy in 1 year because of %0mm windows to game now I just changed my windows sens and my accuracy went like first months I registered in this site. Anyways it works for me it fixes my problems if anyone had same problem like me I recommend it. No matter how it is wrong mathematically it makes my aim better.
EDIT: Whole time in 1 year I blamed my chair height, my mouse, DPI, mouse pad and most of the time I blamed ending my anti depressant cure. I had little bit serious mental problems not everyone had this I'm sure(Paranoia) but I never gave time to change my wps thing my brain works slow. I stick%0mm windoes to game because experts I respect in this site using it and they are good players. But I'm not good and precise player like most of the community also I can't handle toxicity well because of it I'm afraid telling someone my ideas about aim. My english is bad also. So if I'm saying something foolish or wrong don't judge me. I'm a guy just want to know how aiming works and how can I improve it.

I don't play Valorant, but I only use MDD for in-game ADS / zoom scaling changes. I'd pretty much always set hipfire to 360 distance so my navigation feels familiar.

Val is a lot more about holding angles though, so maybe the navigation is less important than the crosshair speed. I don't know, not my thing honestly.

    Hello guys,
I finished my new utility "Mouse sensitivity graph" you can compare with it up to 24x aims between each other in single graph  Download
Below are mouse sensitivity conversion methods compared in 23x aims at CoD: MW (2019) / Warzone. All aims (ADS/Scope) use the same base setting (convert from).
    Vertical:

    Horizontal:

Pyroxia reacted to DPI Wizard in New layout options, Jedi's Trick split into vertical and horizontal!
You can now (finally) change the layout of the calculator to your liking!
On the Calculator Settings header there's now three buttons to switch between the layouts:
(These options will not show up if your resolution is too narrow)
The first one is the classic one where the boxes are vertically stacked and have a max switch. The second one will place the Calculator Settings and Input next to each other, and below them the Calculations and Game Info next to each other, using the entire width available. The last one is like the classic layout, but with the width forced to max. This setting is stored in your browser and not with your saved input.
Also Jedi's Trick is now split into Vertical and Horizontal. Previously it used primarily horizontal, and only vertical for those games that supports separate vertical sensitivity.

Pyroxia reacted to DPI Wizard in New Year update! Favorites, reverse calculation and more!
    Happy new year everyone!
A new update was just published that adds a few new features:
Favorites - Click the star next to the game in the calculation output to add it to your favorites.

Favorites will appear in the top of the game list for easier access.

Reverse calculation - You can now easily reverse any calculation by clicking the reverse icon between the games.

This will swap the "convert from" to "convert to" and preserve all converted data. This makes it easier to see if everything matches up, but note that: Aim calculations will be different if hipfire is matched using 360 distance and the hipfire FOV is not the same, since you change source. Any discrepancy due to rounding limitations will be carried over, which might make the reverse different.
A new conversion method called "Jedi's Trick" is added.

More info in this thread, but it basically uses the average distance between monitor distance 0% and 100% for both axis.

Pyroxia reacted to MacSquirrel_Jedi in Jedi's mouse trick
I'm sorry I didn't realize that the procedure for the calculator here would be a little different. Because the sensitivity of the selected games cannot be adjust. My method don't have constant MD%. For each FOVs you will get slightly different MD%. Here is example for Win/CS:GO:
    Jedi's mouse trick (Vertical):
    1) Set MDV to 0% and note the 360° distance (11.3097 inches)
    2) Set MDV to 100% and note the 360° distance (13.1815 inches)
    3) Calculate average of both values (11.3097 + 13.1815)/2 = 12,2456
    4) Now manually adjust MDV% until the 360° distance will match with value above 12,2456 (MDV 68.6%)
    5) Result is: sensitivity "3.340723"

That is true. But I do not recommend it to anyone. If you turn off RawInput, your mouse speed will be limited by your FPS. And negative acceleration can occur. Also mouse distances will not be stable. RawInput is a small miracle. Do not turn it off
I understood from this post that you are playing with different sensitivity for Horizontal/Vertical. In this case you have to apply this method for both axis.
    Jedi's mouse trick (Horizontal):
    1) Set MDH to 0% and note the 360° distance (11.3099 inches)
    2) Set MDH to 100% and note the 360° distance (16.2624 inches)
    3) Calculate average of both values (11.3099 + 16.2624)/2 = 13,78615
    4) Now manually adjust MDH% until the 360° distance will match with value above 13.7858 (MDH 65.92%)
    5) Result is: m_yaw "0.019542"
So in your case you will set sensitivity "3.340723" from (Vertical) and m_yaw "0.019542" from (Horizontal).

But others should avoid this. The more widescreen is resolution the less benefit from all MDH methods. Except MDH 0% of course.

Cool, I'll let you know when I have a beta version of it up and running so you can verify it
I'll name them Jedi's Trick - Horizontal and Vertical maybe.
I'm working on a lot on new features like swapping input and output with a click (to reverse the calculation) and adding games favorites so they appear in the top of the list, I'll include this in the next update.

Pyroxia reacted to TheNoobPolice in Has Anyone Developed a Way to Find Your "Natural" Sensitivity?
No such thing as a natural sensitivity, moving a mouse is all learned behaviour and your "natural preference" is merely an expression of familiarity from a culmination of all the experiences you have had prior to that moment.

Also, games require different sensitivities. CS:GO players typically use lower sensitivity because they need to be very accurate for a small head hit box at long range to be the most competitive, Quake players use high sensitivities because they need to use complex movement and rocket jump around the map in order to play the most optimal meta.

There would be no point in being a CS player who used a 70cm/360, and then wanted to have try a playing Quake stubbornly insisting on maintaining that sensitivity as it's just not the most practical for that game. Use a sens that works for the game you want to play and the type of movements it requires.

%0 works amazing in Overwatch %100 mdh works well on quake champions. This is my opinion thats why I recommend everyone to try which is best. I change my method so much and I'm not good player so don't mind me.

Pyroxia reacted to DPI Wizard in Big update, vertical sensitivity support is finally here!
While this is a feature most probably won't use, it was important to integrate it into the calculator so it can fully support every aspect of the sensitivity settings in games.
Over 100 games have been updated to support vertical sensitivity! If you notice a game that does support it but haven't been updated in the calculator, let me know!
    This feature have three settings:

1:1 is keeping the scaling of the vertical sensitivity the same as the horizontal. This is how the calculator has always working up until now, so just keep it at 1:1 if you don't want to use this feature and make everything behave like before.

"Scale" is probably the most useful and simple method if you want to use this feature. It simply scales all vertical sensitivity to the percentage chosen. If you for instance want to mimic the behavior of a lot of Unreal Engine 4 games (like ARK) you can simply set this to 70%. This will for those game that is doing this by default result in the same X and Y sensitivity value.

Finally we have "Custom" which reveals a Y axis selection for all the different aim options. With this feature you have the ability to both set a preferred scale percentage for each option, OR you can select a different matching method all together. If you for instance want ADS horizontal to match MDH 100% and ADS vertical to match MDV 100% you can this with the "Custom" option.

"Custom" with all Y axis set to scale and the same percentage is exactly the same as selecting "Scale" and setting that percentage.

I've added a new aim to Destiny 2 called "Custom Zoom Ratio" now, so you can simply enter any zoom ratio as Sensitivity 2 to get the correct calculation
