  1. I see, so if i wanted to set a value of 90 in the calc, does that just mean ensuring to set fov to hdeg res, setting a distance&dpi and then just going up directly from the miniumum in-game of 70 (0000a0c0) to 90 (0000A0D4) ?
  2. Ah, i'd do that, but that option is greyed out for me so i'm not getting a result; An aside, Notepad++ has available plugins to install to view files in hex; And then used 'Plugins > Hex-Editor > View in Hex' for anybody not looking for a dedicated tool. Googled to see if this had this functionality just for this lol
  3. hey Mr @DPI Wizard maybe i'm blind, but if i calculate a sensitivity based on a "90" fov as set in the field; what is the value in hex? i'd have tried to calculate this myself, but i'm uncertain whether this should be based on the value i set or the 'actual' hfov, for example

  5. Hey mister wizard, I have a friend that believes after the most recent update, his settings have become too fast. He isn't a subscriber, but i figured I would ask anyway to potentially get ahead of any legitimate issues, for you to possibly revisit this game to see if the calc still holds up. i personally don't play the game, so it's only on a single person's word that i am making the request.

  7. Hey Mister Wizard, So, i'm able to hit pretty close to my desired in/360 by running 0.4 @ 850dpi & 80fov (12.7153 vs a desired 12.716381) - but as i'm sure you're aware, the ADS multiplier is locked. i'm not sure how much FOV changes when going into ADS, but i'd love to be able to somewhat precisely calculate my ads sensitivity with that considered. i know at this point it seems like it'll mean running a hipfire of nearly double what i prefer (which seems to work well enough), along with i assume some difference caused by the fov change to get my desired ADS sens.
  8. idk, but i don't use >2300 or so dpi otherwise i can't get default turret sense to match hipfire. might consider reducing dpi to get there [edit/] i set mine like thus

  10. I was hoping they would drop these nauseatingly awful zoom levels down to BF4 levels with this update 😕 these iron sight zooms should be a crime punishable by death

  12. much love
  13. Hey Mr @DPI Wizard ! If i were trying to figure out my scoped in/360 for a particular zoom, how might i calculate that? Basically, trying to shove a sense/dpi combo that hits exactly what i was using in BF4 - GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivityCloseRange - with ADS set to 360 distance, is this as simple as a percentage i can accurately multiply my current hipfire in/360 against? Then i could take the new sense/dpi and move it here perfectly

  16. I assume you'll add a variable that lets you set the mouse's DPI increments, so it'll automatically find the closest DPI for a given in/360 distance? that would be pretty spectacular. I was just going to ask that you expose the fifth digit when results are showing 360 distance
  17. in my testing, setting scopes to match hipfire sense 'works', but it'll feel wrong for most engagements. if you come from games where you didn't need ADS or ADS could be run at 1x, you are SOL in this game. probably most of the older gamers. if you are used to magnification, your options are: have it 'feel' the same to your eyes, but your in/360 at the zoom level will be wrong and you'll snap to a target too slowly based on muscle memory. Or set the scope to the same in/360 as the previous game's in/360 with the same magnification or your hipfire's in/360, but it'll feel wrong to your eyes. there's not really a winning scenario for anybody unless the devs bring scope zooms back to parity with other games AND add 1x optics. it also doesn't help that in the 'future', all the guns are just worse. i'd think based on materials and munitions science, ALL the guns in the 'future' should be laser beams. instead, we're practically firing muskets (NTW-30) and the fact that player engagements are basically double the distance they were before, which you need laserbeams for to be viable on the ground. Then, you look at vehicle combat and the turrets are accurate at hipfire sense, so a little muscle memory shreds players on the ground. I guess they could make the vehicle turrets totally inaccurate unless in ADS as well, but that's the last bastion of accuracy in this game unless optics are fixed AND they add 1x 😕

  20. i wish this game had 1x optics. 😕 this 1.25/1.71x as minimum stuff is killing me. it scares me there might be a zoom added to optics when they presumably roll bf4 into portal someday. Thanks for all the work you do @DPI Wizard !
