Hi DPI Wizard.

Would you be adding Battlefield 4 Uniform Soldier Sensitivity? This sens makes it so that you have the same sensitivity for all scopes and hip fire. It also allows you to set your own custom sens for each type of scope in the cfg:

GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivityCloseMagnRange 1.000000

GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivityCloseRange 1.000000

GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivityLongRange 1.000000

GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivityMediumRange 1.000000

GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivityVeryLongRange 1.000000

NOTE: However the sensitivity is FOV based. The higher the FOV, the higher the sens is while having the same sens number. So the default FOV will then match the sensitivity with BF4 without soldier uniform sensitivity turned on.

If I'm using the uniform soldier sensitivity, my fov is 112, I have fov scaling enabled, and I play with a 4:3 resolution would you be able to tell me what I should set my soldier zoom sensitivity to so that my ads sens with 1x scopes is the same as my hipfire sens. When I say the same I mean the distance to do a 360 is the same.

Calculating this is no problem, however I need to make some changes to the calculator to support this. I'll see if I can get a quick beta version of this ready for BF4 within a week or so.

Battlefield 4's sensitivity is wrong for me I have 1800 dpi mouse and used the 0.005908 value but it is not 8"/360 0.009 value is closer, the game may have change the values could you confirm this?

That's good to hear. So how would I go about calculating it?

Unless there's been a change recently, BF4 should be 100% accurate (I checked it a few days ago). Are you using Raw mouse input? :)

Yes I am using Raw mouse Input, I also have tested the 1080p 2"" and I am right on the money (wondering if it was drivers or a faulty sensor), I tested Gmod to be sure and using a ruler rather my typical 8""/360 I got 9"" :/ I also retested BF4 and got shy of 10"", I just re-did the test after re-applying the W7 mouse acceleration fix, and it was the same out come except for G-mod where I cam getting a value closer to 8"" probably cause of human error and using a ruler.

I just some additional testing, If you were unaware there is a bf4 cte version now, and it seems that there is a discrepancy in the sensitivity in the versions, I have 10"" in the default and 11"" in the cte version, the new bf4 Uniform Soldier sensitivity comes from the cte version.

... something is afoot. Sorry about this.

CTE has added the option of different ADS sensitivities for different scopes, worth a look :D

Hi DPI Wizard. Here is a post to you from a DICE Dev working on this:

""He should hold off for few days. I will be changing how the stuff works slightly after that last feedback - base FOV in the USA formula will be the current hip FOV instead of the default one (so hip aim rate won't need sensitivity readjustment to keep the same rate when switching from non-USA to USA) and I will be changing what FOV slide is showing (it will be showing the real FOV you select and not the current made up number which is not even true)""

Great, thanks a lot. I don't have CTE access yet though, if anyone knows if/when they let more people in, let me know!

Hey DPI Wizard, this is a quote off the CTE forums from a DICE Dev. Thought you should know!

Hi DPI Wizard. Is it possible for you to add BF4 vehicle gunner sensitivities in the future? That is sensitivities for tank and attack heli gunner seats. From my calculations (based on nothing but just playing the game) it feels like they are at least 2 times higher than driver sensitivities.

PS. I know it doesn't have its own sensitivity. By above I meant if you would be so kind to release the formulas/multiplers that are used to calculate it.

Hello DPI Wizard. I am trying to get my sensitivity from BF4 to BF3, but it seems I am doing something wrong. The number of centimeters for a 360 rotation in BF4 seems to be incorrect for the settings I entered (hipfire, 1500 DPI, 0.019500 sensitivity). My ingame sensitivity is at 13 which translates to 0.019500 according to the profile. Acceleration is disabled and my DPI is correct as far as I can tell from your DPI analyzer. When I enter these settings a 360 rotation in hipfire should be 10.8567 cm according to the calculator for BF4. Ingame however, a 360 rotation takes somewhere between 15-16 cm. Uniform soldier aiming is off. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks in advance.

The numbers calculated seems correct as far as I can tell. Are you using raw mouse input as well? Are calculations for BF3 correct?

Yes, I am using raw mouse input. The calculations give me a sensitivity of 0.101522 for BF3. I just entered this in the profile and with this sensitivity a 360 takes about 16 cm as well. It seems the conversion is thus correct, but not in line with the number of centimeters it should take according to the calculator.

Edit: Derp, I think I finally figured out what was going on. Apparently my DPI switcher goes one level higher on the desktop than it does ingame. I thought I was playing with 1500 DPI (which is about 16cm for a 360), but apparently I was playing at 1000 DPI (16 cm for a 360). I thouhgt lowering my DPI with two clicks was 1500, but this turns out to be 1000. Anyway, thanks for great your tool. Now I can enjoy BF3 with the same sensitivity.

Config FOV:

GstRender.FieldOfViewVertical 90

Actual HFOV:

121.28 degrees

This is wrong if u set 90 FOV ingame it says HFOV is 106.

Lazy programming by Dice ;)

In-game shows the HFOV for 4:3 resolution, which is correctly 106.26 . But for 16:9 it is 121.28.

See for yourself, if you change from 16:9 to 4:3 resolution, the HFOV does not change, which it must when using the same vertical FOV.
