I'm just confused how the Viewspeed is the same between Hipfire and ADS, considering the cm/360° is identical, the center of the rotation is the character and the visibility relative to hipfire is reduced. Having 1.0 Targeting feels significantly faster to me, I don't know if it's just placebo.

When i tested it, 1.0 felt way too fast for me too. I reckon the sens has to scale by the change in camera distance.

I just wanted to bump this, as it seems there is still no ideal way to calculate 0% when going from hipfire to ADS in Fortnite. Sure the FOV might measure the same, but given the change in camera distance it feels like that needs to be accounted for.

So, does anyone on the site have ideas for how 0% could be calculated on Fortnite? Thanks in advance!

I'm not a Fortnite player. I only really tested it for 10 mins or so a while back, but at the time I found that 'targeting'/'aim down sights' at ~70-75% with the correct cm/rev for 80 hfov to be the way to go. The zoomed in state is closer to first person, so that should have the correct sensitivity. Let the zoomed out hipfire be faster, which will be beneficial for building anyway.

To accomplish this, just use the calculator as normal, but divide the result by the desired targeting sensitivity.

Update needed, fortnite's sensitivity added another decimal point for more precise sensitivity

I'm already on it, just need to verify that nothing else has changed and will update it :)

Good to hear! Thanks for the hard work!

Fortnite updated with one more decimal for greater accuracy.

While four decimals would be ideal, three should make the save file editor unnecessary for most people as will be more than 0.6% accurate in most cases.

My guess would be 0.100 to get it the same as before. Mine was 0.08 before, and after the new patch 0.079( very little change)I just changed it to 0.080 feels like the exact same as before. I double checked it with the calculator. And I use the Hipfire option, under the aim tab.

Just a heads up, STW and BR have the same sens now, it has been fixed in today patch 7.4 and tested it, no more smoothing on 1000hz in STW, finally.

In the calculator,I get

Mouse Sensitivity X 0.047

What can I do with that, how can I convert that into the numbers I actually need to set that as my in game sens in game?

Is the FOV of Hipfire the same as the FOV of Targeting?

Yes, for all weapons except the hunting rifle which has half the FOV.

Is that why it looks like you're zooming in the game?

The hunting rifle does zoom, the others just move the camera slightly closer to your character without any zoom.

is this calculator even working?? im putting 400dpi 0.130 sens 1080p 25'' to convert into 400dpi ?? sens 1440p 27''

Resolution (with the same aspect ratio) and monitor size makes no difference in sensitivity :)

so getting 1080p to 1440p monitor is the same? isnt the travel time of mouse bigger?

Only on a 2D plane like in Windows or in the game menus. 3D game sensitivity are based on how many degrees you turn pr count from the mouse, so the resolution is irrelevant.

Why when I convert hipfire to targeting using MDH 0% I get ''Mouse Targeting Sensitivity 1.000''? I think it's wrong, because when you targeting you get a lower FOV and the sensitivity is faster, I think it should be +/- 0.631 ???
