I got gifted all guns (or rather level/xp/money or whatever) in the beta stages by the devs so I could analyze them all, but I don't play this game so I don't have access to the guns anymore unfortunately. So you are probably right, but I don't have the ability to analyze the difference at the moment.

testservers where open last week .. unlucky - also i updated the links from the last post idk if my logic here is wrong or if that really is the right way to get the other senses based of gunslinger?  (i started playing hunter myself now but i played over 300h with gunslinger because old fps habits and it allways felt a bit wrong until i found that)

The first one looks correct. When you switch to shoulder aim as the source it changes thing around a bit though, as everything will be based on this FOV rather than CSGO.

Do you usually have access to all guns on the test servers?

okay maybe i also think about something in not the right way . the way it is would be fine by me personally tho, because i dont see cs as an ADS game so having ADS based on the game you play is better in my personal opinion.

Zitat

on the two waves i played i had everything, even all legendays (skins)

I think I need some support with the Hunt conversions - I'am a little bit confused. Would be great if you guys could help me. Due the raising popularity of Hunt it may also be valuable for other users.

Reasons for my confusion:

  • Control scheme dependant default FOV (Hunter = Default / Gunslinger = Aim (Hint: Not Aim Down Sight!)
  • Two values for HipMouseSensitivity (config) / Shoulder Aim (ingame): "Hipfire" and "ADS"

Example: https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=f69b81c93dc3820b12765fd5b2f2191b

My Goal:

Select the Control Scheme (Hunter or Gunslinger) and match the default view to the target fov. [idea: via "Special Option 1"?]

  • Hunter:
    • Target FOV=Default (= Look around, gun is lowered)
    • Match Default (Look around) Sensitivity for 360
    • Match all other sensitivities regarding your personal conversion selection (e.g. MDH 0%)
  • Gunslinger:
    • Target FOV=Aim (= Default for Gunslinger control scheme users, gun is raised but not ADS
    • Match Default (Aim, but not Aim Down Sight!) Sensitivity for 360
    • Match all other sensitivities regarding your personal conversion selection (e.g. MDH 0%)

Just two other side note:

  • The Ingame FOV slider is limited to 110 - maybe the config has the same limitiation
  • The Testservers are currently only and have everything unlocked

Thanks for your help!

Yes, on the test servers you have access to all weapons and you get enough money to use them all.
Right now the test servers are online because of the upcoming new map. This should probably result in a longer test phase so there should be plenty of time to test and use all the weapons.

With the latest update (version 1.6.1), you have the option to use the standard fov when shoulder aiming. Previously the actual vFoV when shoulder aiming was 0.8 times the vFoV set in the config file (which is still the default setting, but you can now effectively change this factor to 1).

If you do this, the calculations for "HipMouseSensitivity" in the calculator will be wrong, because the calculator assumes the slightly zoomed in FoV.

Added this option to the game now :)

Hey, sorry for my bad english, i think there is something wrong.

Shoulder Aim Fov on Zoom i get for HipMouseSensitivity(ADS) and IronSightSensitivity nearly the same Number, but Iron Sight got a bigger Zoom.

On the Next link i put Shoulder Aim Fov on Default, shouldn`t i get than Mousesensitivity and HipMouseSensitivity (Hipfire) exact the same? Its the Same Fov and a 360 calculation? And on Both Calculations is HipfireSensitivity (Hipfire) the same, with and without Zoom. Thanks for Help

The numbers are not interchangeable, the scaling on the different aims on Hunt is completely different (which is kinda why the calculator exists 😉).

I have a question

What conversion am i supposed to use for the Aim Down Sight sens in game?

is it the Shoulder Aim ADS or do i have to use the Iron Sight?

The aim list uses the names from the config file, where ADS is called Iron Sights :)

Hi there,

I think I am doing something wrong. I just bought this tool for 100€. I tried to convert CSGO -> Hunt:Showdown. When I try a 360° turn in csgo I need my whole mousepad. When I use the calculated value in hunt however, I need almost twice the space. This is how I set up the calculator: https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=81e2745e5c506d8f76585ff266f01aea

I don't know what I am doing wrong. (And I didn't quite get what Monitor Distance does, but that is another topic).

I am happy for any hints you might have!

Best regards,

Joel

Hi!

The link is invalid, can you try to share a new one?

Are you testing the 360 distance for hipfire in both games?

Link to comment

Hi DPI Wizard,

thanks for the quick answer. I watched some of your videos on YT last night explaining that rather complicated topic. Based on what you wrote I switched to monitor distance in todays calculation. However it still feels WAY too slow, even slower than yesterday. (https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=8d057fce80255e834f1dda1912e61a1c).

Maybe it's about the FOV. There are different values in config and ingame. I used the config value, as my calculator is set on config (If I understood that correctly).

Best regards,

Joel

Hey DPI Wizard,

just a friendly reminder :), did you have time to check it out yet?

These settings should be exactly the same, how exactly are you testing? Just a 360 in hipfire? Is there any possibility of a mouse profile being activated on either of the games, changing the DPI?

Hi DPI-Wizard, both hipfire 360° and ADS feel way too slow. I checked my mouse and I have indeed different profiles for these two games, but both are set to 800 DPI.

Maybe hunt did change something in a recent update and the calculator is miscalculating something?

Have you testet my config or did you just take a look at the numbers?

Thanks for taking the time, I know you probably have a lot more on your list. I really appreciate it!

Best regards

Joel

I found the error now, you have used the mouse sensitivity on the axis multipliers as well, these must be set to 1.

You have this:

 <Attr name="MouseSensitivity" value="0.511963"/>
 <Attr name="MouseSensitivityX" value="0.511963"/>
 <Attr name="MouseSensitivityY" value="0.511963"/>

Change it to:

 <Attr name="MouseSensitivity" value="0.511963"/>
 <Attr name="MouseSensitivityX" value="1"/>
 <Attr name="MouseSensitivityY" value="1"/>

And it should be spot on :)

Hello,

i want to calculator my settings from Hunt Showdown to other games.

I have a fov from 110 (which is max in Hunt).

If i use 110 as fov in the calculator it tells me "This Fov is above the registered maximum for the game, please verify your input" and is not calculating.

Could that be fixed ?
i just bought premium :P

Switch location to "In-game" ;)

The game uses different FOV Types and range for config file and in-game.

Should i make all these other scope/sights settings so that everything is based from 0.8 and then feels the same for all ?

Hope my question makes sense :D

If you haven't changed the calculator settings, this will make all scopes have the same tracking speed:
