ADS/scopes are not working for me, is it a bug or a something I have to do?

To use the actual equipments: Click RightMouseButton,

To use the default crosshair with a dot: Hold down RightMouseButton

Viewspeed to me seems too slow as others have noted earlier. I finally got my numbers to stop restarting in config file.. Thanks for the recommendation to make engine a read only.

I've been trying to get my Battlefield 1 sensitivities to come over and can't seem to get it right.

Are you comparing BF1 to 1st or 3rd person view in Battlefields? Remember that 3rd person can be perceived differently, even though the actual movement is the same.

It was a script I had on the right mouse button that messed it up.

Good to hear things got solved.

Also i'm wondering about something.

I'm trying to convert my csgo settings into BF4 (config files) , but it seems that the file is coded.

I can't find any sensitivity in the folder, nor the fov.

Make sure you edit the right file, PROFSAVE_profile. There's a file there with a similar name that is not in clear-text.

its because the FOV is so low on battlegrounds, i dont really think there is another way around it.

If I try to match my hip fire from BF1 to Hipfire on Battlegrounds, its seems to work ok if I use 360 distance, but view speed is snail slow to turn around. How should a player be compensating for the first person/3rd person thing you are mentioning above?  I guess I just don't even know how to begin converting to this game correctly. Sorry for the noobness. I truly appreciate all the responses so far. Here is a link to what I am doing currently for Hip and 4x. My scoping uses the same inputs as 4x, but I tried to base it off my 1.25x BF1 zoom. http://imgur.com/BjCKeHG - hip;

- 4x

Yeah, as KandiVan mentions above, the hipfire FOV is so different between those two games that it will feel slow when you match viewspeed and compare the 360 distance. When not aiming, having the muscle memory to quickly turn 180 degrees might be more important than aiming for something.

I would suggest for PUBG that you try to match hipfire to 360 distance, and targeting (and all other scopes etc) to viewspeed.

I cannot find this in the folder -> GstInput.UniformSoldierAimingCoefficient

What files do you have in the folder %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Battlefield 4\settings?

Looks correct, but the file is not in clear-text? Strange. Try to move it to another folder to back it up, and start the game. See if the file is re-created readable.

PS: This will reset all your settings! But you should be able to put the file back to get the settings restored.

Not sure how i upload pictures

Another question.

What's the differences between "Scaled Iron Sight" and "Iron Sight?", also "Scaled " and "1x sights"

I'm able to enter the folder by open it in a text document, but you still want me to try?

Ok, the file is good then. That one value might be missing because you haven't turned USA on. Try to turn on USA in-game and see if it shows in the config file.

Another question.

What's the differences between "Scaled Iron Sight" and "Iron Sight?", also "Scaled " and "1x sights"

It's explained down in the notes:

Note that this is the Scaled Iron Sight, meaning the "Field of View Scaling in ADS" option is enabled.

This calculation require the following settings:

GstInput.MouseRawInput 1

GstInput.SoldierUniformAiming 1

GstRender.FieldOfViewScaleADS 1

In other words, if you have FOV Scaling on, use the scaled calculations, if it's off use the others.

The sensitivities should not affect each other, but remember that aiming while holding down right mouse button is the "Targeting" sensitivity.

Yes I always use this fix, I really hate the fov by default. But no idea if it affects sensitivity.

Another question, what is your opinion about this setting:

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (Config File):

  • Hipfire (360°): 0.012746
  • Targeting (360°): 0.012746
  • Scoping (Viewspeed): 0.010899
  • Scope 4X (Viewspeed): 0.010295
  • Scope 8X (Viewspeed): 0.010266
  • Scope 15X (Viewspeed): 0.010289

Just to verify. When matching from BF1 to this game. Do I match my hip fire from BF1 using 360 method and then use viewspeed on the battleground hipfire to do my scoping and 4x? Or do you match the 1.25x and 4x using viewspeed from BF1 to come up with the Battlegrounds scoping and 4x?
