Hey, coming in to say that I don't think the Deathwing conversion is working properly. No matter what sensitivity is put in for Deathwing, the distance for 360 fluctuates and does correlate with the sensitivity. Also, inputting my CSGO sens of 2 and dpi 400 yields too low sens and recommends a dpi of 250.

As this game is in development, sensitivity may change. Steam beta access has ended, is it still possible to test the game before release?

The calculations for this game is working as intended, but it has a very narrow sensitivity range.

The lowest you can go when compared to CSGO is 3.030303, which is not very low... anything lower will not work and result in a DPI suggestion.

Hi not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but editing the sensitivity in the config file for the new Enhanced Edition doesn't change anything in game. I'm guessing this is a problem with the devs, but I was wondering if you could take a look and see? Really don't want to have to change my DPI. Thanks.

Hello,

I would like to follow up on Guanjyn's question regarding sensitivity in the Enhanced Edition. I've edited the config file as advised on the converter and the sensitivity is way off... would it be possible to take a look at this? Cheers :)

Edit: I will also try the dpi edit and let you know how it goes!

Please update for Enhanced Edition. Two things I noticed:

  1. The game does not respect the ini file. It will work for a few seconds then reverts to using the in-game slider.
  2. Calculation is off. My calculated sensitivity is way slower, hence making my 360 distance longer.

Seems like the enhanced edition is having some issues. It does indeed ignore config file changes, and there are issues with smoothing/acceleration making the sensitivity vary a lot. The base sensitivity is exactly the same as the original version, but I get huge fluctuations by just restarting the game. Not sure if there is any fix for this.

That's a shame. Could it be vsync or frame-rate related?

I can't test like you do so how about capping it at 60fps?

Perhaps, I'll try a few known UE4 fixes and vsync/frame capping and see if that helps!

Any luck at all so far?

Adding bEnableMouseSmoothing=False to the GameUserSettings.ini file in the [/Script/Engine.GameUserSettings] helps a little bit on single packets, but there's still huge issues with multiple packets, i.e. regular movement :(

Ah well, thanks for trying anyway!

Is there any way to get the enhanced edition to respect the sensitivity settings in the INI file? Otherwise I'd have to adjust my DPI to 650 every time I want to play this game to get a reasonable sensitivity.

Not that I know unfortunately.

I had to edit AppData\Local\SpaceHulkEnhanced\Saved\SaveGames\PersistentUserSave.sav with HxD Hex editor to get it to stick;
Set the ingame sensitivity to minimum and apply, then close the game.
Search PersistentUserSave.sav for 0.030000 Single (float32) and replace both entries with your sensitivity and save the file.

Edit the underlined field on the right hand column to your sensitivity float from the calculator for both entries in the bottom search box:

I
'm not sure that bEnableMouseSmoothing is respected from the ini (probably not as the other entries aren't) so the sensitivity still feels a little bit off but its a lot better than default minimum sensitivity. I couldnt find that flag in this file either so maybe its just not configurable in this game. Tried using unreal engine unlocker to set it via console but not sure if that did anything.
