Just wanted to bump this, could you possibly put in the values for ADS etc. and flight sensitivity etc.?

Added ADS now, but not support for the ADS Multiplier options, so leave that off. Flight sensitivity might be tricky but I'll give it a go.

Hello, 3.5 is coming up and a fixed Star Marine with it ! So I wanted to get back in but I did a lot of changes in my sens, so I wanted to use this website to take my csgo sens in StarCitizen, but i only see one value (even for hipfire), wich is the mouse sens, could I get a little help with how to set everything up ? (there is a loooot of sliders in this game and I'm a little lost ... x) )

You can pretty much ignore all the sliders, they are for setting custom acceleration for all the different things. For a linear sensitivity just leave the default.

Great job for the ADS added ! So I juste take that and let every other sliders to 1, thx for the answer, I'll check that out tomorrow ! Have a good day

Sorry I didn't mean to pester you do such a good job with this stuff. I don't know if things have changed but they have in the PTU the 3.5 version of Star Citizen which changes the flight model (presumably to what the release game flight model will be). Don't know if its possible to check that out at 3.4 is the outgoing patch and the values might be different (not 100%). PTU version is in the Account > Settings section, it's a separate launcher.

No problems, I'll check it out :)

Personally for me, just being able to sync the ADS on foot value with Monitor Distance would be enough.

Hipfire and ADS is the same in 3.5, but ADS might scale differently depending on the weapon and scope. Exactly what weapon/scope are you wanting to sync?

I can't find any flight sensitivity, am I just blind or is there no option?

I've figured out that the flight sensitivity is equivalent to 4.5 @ FOV 86, and scales MDH 0% to your FOV.

As far as I know, when you want to adjust your flight sens, you use your mouse sens + all the sliders that move the curve
Flight as been made for joysticks, so I don't think it is needed anyway

Mouse sens don't affect it at all strangely enough. The curve sliders probably will, but they are essentially acceleration curves so almost impossible to calculate.

Yep, by mouse sens I mean mostly when you are in free look, but every ppl I know that plays arena commander competitivly plays with joysticks and edit the curves, so maybe I'm wrong but I don't think there is much to do here.
Basicaly in flight mod, your sens doesn't realy matter, it's the speed of your thrusters that does

Hello, me again, 3.5 is out and so I tested out to get my CS:GO sens to SC, and it realy doesn't feel like it, the hipfire sens feels weird and the ADS sens is REALY way too slow.
Here is my settings (everything is calculated with monitor distance distance horizontal 0%

What gun/aim are you using for ADS, and are your sensitivity curves default?

Sens curves are at 1, I tried it with a P4, a S71 and a Coda
The P4 feels a little too slow, the Coda feels WAY too slow, and the S71 feels too fast

Is your settings like this, or do you have Zoom Multiplier on?

Nope, exactly like this

To be honest, I think the problem comes from the way they handle the player view, they want only one camera that sees what other player see, so they probably did trick too much with the FOV when ADSing so it still look nice even tho they do not have a camera specificaly for the weapon view

Probably something like this yes. The P4 is what I've used for the calculations, and the way it scales is far from normal. So I'm not surprised other weapons act differently. The Zoom Multiplier also makes little sense, which is why I haven't added support for it yet. There probably is some logic behind it all, but it's quite obscure so it will take time to analyze.

I run a 2.0 sensitivity with 450 DPI in CSGO and the calculator says 6 sensitivity for SC. In previous patches that has worked but booting it up today it was way too slow. I got out my measuring tape and to get my 18in 360 I had to up the sensitivity from 6 to 25. All curves set to 1 with zoom multiplier off. So the calculator appears to be wrong now. This game is such a mess that I am not even sure if it's worth your time to fix it. I am also running a FOV of 96 but changing it to 86 didn't make 6 sensitivity correct either.

It's a real mess for now. I really trust and also depend on reports like this, so if it acts differently here and I can't figure out the source (like UE4 games being affected by generic UE4 files), I will remove it or tag it as broken.

Will check it again tomorrow using several different variables to see if I can provoke any inconsistency.

Can confirm, it's all  slowed down now ... :(

I also had some trouble transferring my mouse sensitivity to SC. Since it was never intended to be a true competitive game it is impossible to set perfect settings for the FPS module of the game. It also seems that the games focus is the free movement with zero gravity in space with (vehicle) or without ship (EVA). Sometimes it's hard to understand the design decisions. ...I feel ya, guys.

Dealing with a Rival 110 and the accompanying software from steelseries makes thinks easier as it is possible to set the DPI from 200 to 7200 in steps of 100, what is essential to get to passable sensitivity settings in Star Citizen.

In the game there are different sensitivity instances and multipliers. The foremost is the vehicle/EVA sensitivity (it's the way I call it). There is no switch, no slider in-game for that. It can solely set by mouse DPI and is the "first instance"; this "mode" is active when one is in a vehicle or EVAing in space...everything else builds up on this setting. So the next important sensitivity is the Mouse Sensitivity found in-game in the Controls sub menu. This actually regulates you sensitivity when you are on foot and it is a factor upon the vehicle/EVA sensitivity as signified. The third one is the ADS Sensitivity and is also a factor to the whole. When you aim down sights with a weapon this value regulates how your vehicle/EVA sensitivity combined with your Mouse Sensitivity (if on foot) is readjusted. Yet another factor is the Zoom Multiplier. It manipulates the sensitivity resulting from the factors above furthermore depending on the zoom step when ADSing, especially when some king of scoping is involved. Brain-twister anyone? I skip the Mouse Acceleration and Mouse Smoothing here, sure everyone here is quite familiar with that.

Let's peruse the first person perspective in Star Citizen. When looking around the whole character model is involved. This results in a maximal possible turn speed when EVAing since the suit brings the propulsion for that maneuver. On foot a rotation involves a displacement of the head since the character replaces legs and foots. As I observed it, this happens every 90 degree and than this animation adds some to the rotation caused by moving the mouse! There is are few more interference like this in Star Citizen, but for this thread it is not really of interest.

A little bit more detail about the sensitivity factors and multipliers and how to take advantages of it. As mentioned before the vehicle/EVA sensitivity takes the mouse input as it comes, raw. I did a few measurement series...brute force. Here I got with 300 DPI, 400 DPI and 1100 DPI 27.65 cm, 21.55 cm and 7.2 cm for a 180 degree turn respectively. Next thing that seems sensible is to set the in-game Mouse Sensitivity. With this value one can increase the overall sensitivity if the slider is > 27...28 or decrease the sensitivity if the slider is < 27...28. I settled my DPI at 400 and got 8.75 cm, 19 cm, 23.6 cm with Mouse Sensitivity 100, 40, 29 for a 180 degree turn respectively. As my target is 23.65 cm / 180 turn I went with 29. The next interesting slider ADS Sensitivity decreases the sensitivity identically over all weapons for ADS aiming. It looks like ADS Sensitivity 100 applies 90 % of the overall sensitivity when in ADS, ADS Sensitivity 1 applies about 30 % of the overall sensitivity when in ADS. I set ADS sensitivity to 100. What if one will a fast SMG aim but a reliable aim when scoping with a sniper. This is where the Zoom Multiplier comes in. Depending on the zoom step the sensitivity is further adjusted and every weapon has a zoom when ADSing. All Zoom Multipliers decrease the overall sensitivity, but Zoom Multiplier 1 is in it's effect only 30 % of the Zoom Multiplier 100. Here I go with 1 but it needs adjustments over time.

I was wondering, are you gonna fix the calculator for the current version of SC ? Cuz we are actualy doing competitive matches Star Marine matches (with our own tournaments) and I'd realy like my CS:GO sens and since we are not not going to have any update soon, maybe it the fixed calculator could stay revelant for a longer period of time now

I can see there's been a substantial update to the sensitivity, so working on it now!

It seems they have doubled the range, so did a quick update now and will test further to increase the accuracy. Do check if the new numbers feel right and report back if you can, there's a lot of variables in this game making it quite hard to calculate :)
