Optimal conversion

Recommended Posts

Hi! Maybe some of you guys converted BF1 to Fortnite? I am having issues at finding the right sensitivity. The FOV difference makes it difficult.

I tried Viewspeed v1, v2 and monitor distance 100%, they all feel too slow. I tried to copy the 360° distance as well but it feels too fast obviously.

Maybe you got some advice? Otherwise I just have to go back to the good old method of doing this manually and find what "feels right".

Thank you.

I just used the 360 method Conversion for hipfire, and left the ads/scope sens in fortnite at 1.00. It should have/give you a similar feel to it, like Uniform soldier aiming set to ON do in BF4/1. At least in my experience. I did not mess around with anything else. I just typed in my ingame BF4 sens & my DPI. But Idk.

convert from fortnite hip-fire to fortnite scope with 75 % monitor distance.

in fortnite both hip-fire and ADS have the same FOV, so ADS sensitivity should always be set to "1.00".

Well in some situations it's nice for me to be able to slow down the aim. I used to play battlefield with low ads sensitivity as well, so I don't mind since I'm used to it. Lately I switched to 100% zoom sens and lower global sensitivity in bf1 to see how it would impact my muscle memory but I don't see much of a difference. I might even go back to my old settings tbh.

By the way 75% monitor distance is not working that well for me tho, I don't feel it right at all. I'm gonna experiment more settings and see what's better.

75% monitor match (16:9) is the same FOV/Sens scaling as Battlefield's Uniform Soldier Aiming with 1.33 coefficient and 1 zoom sensitivity for all guns. So if that's what you used in Battlefield, then you should convert 75% to Fortnite as it will be identical to Battlefield.

If you are expecting to use the same amount of mousepad space as Battlefield's hipfire, then your assumption is incorrect and could be why you are thinking it is not feeling right. Since Fortnite has a low FOV, it's going to require more mousepad space, similar to when your aiming down sights in Battlefield.

Yeah that for sure, i know the numbers will be different, I was talking about about the feeling I have. Fortnite has low fov yes, that's the problem. To match with 75% monitor distance the 360° distance becomes too big and it feels too slow. The feeling for me is not even close to the ADS in battlefield.

Maybe it's just me, maybe I should play more and I will get used to the extremely lower fov and the muscle memory will adapt to the differnet movements I have to do in that game.

So next question, should the converter not be updated so there is only hipfire, ADS & scope sens. And not scope - assault, scope - sniper!? since the sens bug from earlier with assault/sniper is fixed now. I have no clue what of the 2 numbers I should be using. I get 2 different, 0.95 for assault and 0.93 for sniper!?

Same issue here. I play 39.5cm on CSGO, BF1 and BF4. Viewspeed matching hipfires feels too slow, cm/360 match feels too fast and I flick to the wrong spots. Most fights end up in shotgun fights too so using a 58cm (I think that's the viewspeed match from csgo to FN in my case)  isn't really feasible, there's too much jumping and turning (for building) for it to be viable. This games settings are seriously frustrating, they don't even have a hold to crouch option which i've been using since I started pc gaming. Not to mention the poor sensitivity slider, poor crosshair and weird X/Y sens. I feel like my ability to aim up close in this game is half compared to other games lol. ADS feels alright since I have the viewspeed set to my BF1 hipfire, something like a 0.71 modifier for ADS.
