Conversion Setup

Recommended Posts

Hi, I came back to the calculator after the re-work and I noticed there's now "Conversion Setup", which I don't fully understand.

How does it work? For example, I'm wanting to convert my CS:GO hipfire sensitivity of 1.10 at 800 DPI to Ballistic Overkill across all weapons at 50% MM. I'm using a 24" monitor.

Any help is appreciated.

So I shouldn't even bother with Vertical monitor distance?

You can use it if you want. Just copy that into the calculator and change the setting yourself if you wanna use Vertical. It's up to you which you use.

I don't know which is technically the best.

vertical mm and horizontal mm do the same thing. At 50% horizontal it will match between your crosshair and the left/right hand edges of the screen, with 50% vertical it will match between your crosshair and the top/bottom edges of your screen. There is an equivalence between them (you will get the same sens values out) :

50%mm horizontal -> vertical (assuming 16:9 monitor)

50*(16/9) = 88.89% (2dp)

50%mm vertical -> horizontal (assuming 16:9 monitor)

50*(16/9) = 28.13% (2dp)
