Can I get some clarification please, if I'm trying to get MDV 0%, do I need to:

Set mouse_use_per_scope_sensitivity_scalars "1" and input the corrected scalars for each scope (in my case it's 1.004245 for all values)? Or does mouse_use_per_scope_sensitivity_scalars not matter?

I does matter, as it enables the ability to set the sensitivity for each scope.

Are you good with trigonometry, Mr BLC? Edit: wow ok I misread your post. I think you knew all this already, and it doesn't answer your question. sorry TL;DR: you want to match the distance

  • For anyone wondering about FOV: I've added a Hipfire (Config File FOV) aim to the game when you have location config file selected. Use this to calculate the correct FOV to use in the config

  • All aim calculations are updated, the game does some rounding that made the calculations slightly off. Fixed it now so it should be 100% accurate!

So even if every value is the same, it is still needed?

If you want 0% mdv or mdh in apex legends you don’t have to change anything it’s the basic value 1.000000 or in your case (fov rounding from the game) 1.004245. And no you don’t have to set this value for all scopes. In this case it doesn’t matter.

So in my case, I can set the following values, and never need to touch scalar_1 through scalar_7, right?

mouse_use_per_scope_sensitivity_scalars "0"
mouse_zoomed_sensitivity_scalar_0 "1.004245"

Yes. 👍

I need help, totally confused at this point 🫣 I converted my Warzone settings to Apex, but aiming feels off. I use 110 FoV in-game, which results in "fov_scale 1.55" - but this reddit post says I should divide 110/70 to get the proper value...which is 1.5714.

So what should I do now?! Use this 1.5714 as value for the converter, which results in different mouse settings...or just use the mouse settings that the converter gave me with 1.55 and change to 1.5714 in the profile.cfg...so that I use mouse settings for 1.55 with 1.57. Right now, im confused.

I know that mouse_zoomed_sensivity_scalar_0 to 6 have no function, so I use mouse_use_per_scope_sensitivity_scalars "0".

Thank you guys.

This is wrong, the config file FOV is a multiplier of 70, while the in-game FOV scale of 70 to 110 corresponds to multiplier 1 to 1.55 in the config file, which in turn makes 110 in-game 108.5 in reality :)

Okay, so I just have to use the multiplier of 1.57 in the converter (and the config), to get my correct sensitivity for proper 110 fov, right? Maybe you could check my updates settings on the screenshot below 😅 Thanks

No, 110 in-game is 1.55 in the config file, check the value in %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\profile\profile.cfg if you are unsure ;)

Yeah, I use 1.5714 in the config...so I have to use this for the converter, too....right?

At one time I played at .971 sensitivity with 1600 dpi (1,533.6 edpi) and the default 1 multipler on the 2x scope. If I'm playing at a much lower EDPI (400-500), and I want to keep everything else the same but make the sensitivity on the 2x scope equivalent to what it was playing at 1,533.6 edpi, how do I do that?

I'm assuming I would need the cm/360 value for being 2 scoped with a 1 multiplier at 1,533.6 edpi, which the calculator doesn't currently tell you, but should be possible - then just work out the multiplier that would create that cm/360 value at the current sens, right?

I am confused on the scope sensitivities. If Apex uses 0% Monitor Distance as default, then how come when I use 110 in-game FOV the calculated multipliers for scope sensitivities shift to 1.01 instead of staying at 1?

This happens because the game has a bug where it rounds the FOV to the nearest whole number before calculating the ADS sensitivity. So use the values from the calculator as it accounts for this.

The config file is exactly 4:3 HFOV (70*multiplier). The in-game FOV is likely just "beautified" to go from 70 to 110 instead of 108.5.

Thank you!

Can you clarify pls how the fov values work in the current state?

According to calculator fov 110 in game would result 123.268762 fov if play in 16x9 aspect and 108.5 if using 4x3 aspect. Those are correct?
