1) Can I put decimals in config file 1? Will changing the value actually change the sens or just value shown in game?
2) Can I use config file 2 only?
3) I put all sensitivity on 50 but lastconvertedsenstivity different based on pixel ratio. Hipfire, shoulder aim, and ads seems to work, but scopes (2x-15x) are way higher when I use individual scopes sens that I set in config, but seems like it works with universal scopes sens enabled?
I think this - 'SensitiveName="ScopingMagnified",Sensitivity=50.000000,LastConvertedSensitivity=0.007332)' is the universal scope sens and I put the value the same as 2x scope

I just checked the game now as it has been a bit back and forth exactly how it handles the sensitivity. It's now back to how it originally worked.

Config file 1 is just the value displayed in-game, if you change this in the config file it will not actually change the sensitivity. Decimals are supported and recommended, as it will be more accurate when displayed in-game.

Technically yes, but the drawback is that the in-game sensitivity will not display what you actually have. If you do both it's easier to get an overview in-game.

This value is not used unless you have "Universal Sensitivity for All Scopes" enabled. And all it does is setting all the scope sensitivities to the same value.

But the scopes' value(2x-15x) I set in config will not work if I disable universal sens.

Why and how do I fix it?

It's opposite, enabling universal sens disables the option to set the scopes individually. Universal sens in PUBG is nothing like USA in Battlefield etc, it just means you use the same numerical sensitivity value for all scopes.

Yes I know, the problem is it somehow doesn't work. For example, I have my 2x scope value lower than ads, but 2x's 360 distance is lower than ads which makes no sense, you can feel the difference between them immediately.

What exactly is the values you are using?

Maybe lastconvertedsensitivity doesn't work on individual scopes?

I don't think the calculator is working as intended on PUBG: https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=20022860b3afe1fcbfc126813c4ebf61. Some of the sensitivity values, and stuff like 360° Distance, Pixel ratio, Actual HFOV, etc appear to be missing.

Also, according to this post "Not all Ultrawide ratios behave the same in this game", and I would have to agree with. Back when I played on a regular 16:9 monitor at 114 FOV (1920x1080), and decided to play on what I personally call "Wide Focal Length" at 1920x882, I did not end up seeing less of my surroundings. I really wonder if this starts happening at aspect ratios wider than 21:9 🤔, which would be really unfortunate now that I have a 12:5 one and it's technically ever so slightly wider.

They are out of range, but the "All" calculation for config file 1 is not able to show it due to how it works to show the entire sensitivity blob in one calculation.

If you switch to Config File 2 you will see it: https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=ac2a619023d4425dd1d699897a355e0b

The calculator accounts for this at least up to 21:9, but I've only verified it for the usual aspect ratios. The way PUBG handles FOV is a real mess.

Can you elaborate on what’s wrong with pubg fov?

also I’ve noticed for years that the sensitivity across scoped always feels weird in pubg it’s a bit unco between zoom levels etc even with the calculator or just using standard sense values. No other game feels as “weird”

Instead of scaling FOV by locking the 16:9 portion and adding on (or subtracting) the extra width (i.e. Hdeg 16:9), a seemingly random multiplier is applied when the aspect ratio changes. This change also directly affects sensitivity since the game scales everything to the actual horizontal FOV.

The FOV is scaled like this:

What about when scoping in? Could this be why some scopes feel so whack when zooming in and others feel ok? 6k hours and game still never feels like any other shooter with the scopes. I’ve just got used to the clunkyness

It scales the same way. There's nothing really weird about how the scopes works in PUBG in relation to hipfire, but it lacks any kind of distortion like you typically have in Modern Warfare 2 etc.

Hi

i have a question regarding the stretch resolutions in pubg and the change in FOV .

im a little confused as to why the 4:3 aspect ratio give both a lowers the vertical FOV and horizontal but an aspect ratio of 16:10 works logically and increases the vertical FOV ? is it because the game only officially recognizes the 16:10 and not others ?

The FOV is pretty scuffed in PUBG, it scales like this based on aspect ratio:

Why it's done like this instead of a normal way I have no idea.

oh wow , thank you so much for the reply man . you have been answering me for years with my questions . appreciate it like always

Is there a reason when converting to PUBG that you cant enter in what your converted hipfire sens is first to then calculate the ADS sens. For example, i want to convert Siege from 5 Hipfire with an ADS of 42 800 DPI to PUBG so that I have the same hipfire, but then the ADS of 42 calculated by using Monitor Distance Vertical 0%.

https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=51334489d1d242f4e0656846a3b13308

Linked my current conversion for example of what im trying to convert to, but it wont allow me to edit the hipfire sens.
