  1. Hey guys. I've been using a program called RawAccel (available here) in order to fine-tune my sensitivity. Let me explain. In order to use this tool, install it like normal and open up the program. This will require a restart. Now, it's no surprise that this program was originally intended to port quake 3 arena's mouse acceleration to systemwide use. However, if you alter the menu that says linear to say off (in red in attached image) then you can set your mouse to it's max dpi and subdivide it's dpi into any resolution. Simply select the game you wish to find the dpi for, start putting a dpi in, and carefully set each digit (down to any number of decimal places) until your hipfire/etc shows the lowest possible percentage. then divide that dpi by your max dpi and paste that into the Sens. Multiplier (blue). it would be great if the website knew how to do this.

But how do I do this for different fovs? I would love this to be added as a feature.

  10. Hey, so on the advanced warfare custom client s1x, I use 65 cg_fov and 1.5 cg_fovscale and it makes it move faster. How can I more accurately find out what sensitivity I'm actually using when I do this?

  14. you can also keep sensitivity at one and use post scale x instead.
  15. first of all, grab this and install it: https://github.com/KovaaK/InterAccel/releases/tag/1.0 and restart. then, convert your base sensitivity to quake 1 using fov match in 360 degrees. (be sure to change it from 16:9 to 4:3, etc.) then save that as a preset, by copying the sensitivity and the fov to the first box. when converting to a game of your choice, match the true fov you use in the game to a second quake 1 choice, making sure to use the hdeg res option, and copy that to your calculator using 360 degrees match. Now, you want to put your game in the first box, and convert the game's closest option to quake's 1.0 sensitivity by looking at the second box this is what you will choose in-game. then subtract the first number you converted to quake sensitivity from the second number you converted to quake sensitivity. BASICALLY, ALL SENSITIVITIES HAVE TO BE CONVERTED TO QUAKE SENSITIVITY FIRST. THIS IS BECAUSE POVOHAT'S DRIVER FORCES EVERY GAME TO EMULATE QUAKE LIVE'S SENSITIVITY OPTIONS. by subtracting the ingame value from the wanted value, you will be tricking the game to use the exact amount if you cannot fine-tune. open the povohat utility. set accel to zero, post scale x/y and pre scale x/y to 1, and set the sensitivity to be the final result of the subtraction. This will scale your input to be the exact sensitivity.
  16. https://jscalc-blog.com/liquipedia-sensitivity-calculator/ on this calculator, supposedly the sensitivity 0.75757575 for quake 1 is 20/20 vision and has a perfect mpi and arctan and all this number stuff. Is there any truth to this? And if so, could this be added to this website?
  17. i've made a video on something I've noticed. When using 1000 dpi, the counts your sensitivity makes evenly matches the inches per 360 your mouse makes. It's uncanny. Is this just a fluke, or is there something special when it comes to using 1000 dpi?

  19. this also allows you to have a better muscle memory because you will be using the same sens as your desktop, iirc
  20. I prefer desktop match because mathmatically at 0% vertical monitor distance match the game will move exactly 1 pixel per degree, which I prefer, because it allows me to use the lowest needed dpi in order to minimize issues created by higher dpi settings.
