I dont get it it seems like the holo and adc feel different in game is it just my brain or are they supposed to feel the same?

The FOV's on the sights are different. This is why they have different scalars in the config. They just haven't enabled them yet. It was mentioned earlier, and it's what I do in these situations. I would recommend averaging all of the values for the different scopes.

The aim feels completely off for me and I believe I set everything right. Anyone has a similar experience?

EDIT: Just read that the scope values have different FOVs

Hi!

Just purchased premium and are not really sure how to convert sens from Overwatch Ashe ADS to Apex ADS.

Overwatch settings:
3.33 sens
800 DPI
Ashe zoom sens: 51.47
Fov: 103

I get the hipfire conversion to 0.999000, which feels right. But then i get the mouse_zoomed_sensitivity_scalar_0 "1.554324" which feels way to high.

51.47 is just the default 1 in apex

its 0% mm you only need to change hipfire to what you want

so to get the exact thing as Battlefield 5 USA 0% , i just convert my BF5 hipfire to Apex Legends hipfire and let zoom sens stay on 1 ?

yes this is correct :)

@DPI Wizard I think the new added feature: Hipfire (Config File FOV) is not showing the correct value as I asked this before and than you said the value was: cl_fovScale "1.194" (Change bo4 Fov 100 to same fov for apex)

First I set everything correct and enter 83.58 Fov Hipfire 4:3 and change the Aim option to "Hipfire (Config File FOV) and at that point the FoV value changes as the Config FOV value.

The entered FOV value resets because it uses a different type, so you need to select the correct FOV Type and enter the desired value after you have selected the Config File FOV option ;)

Ok gotcha, I thought I enter the correct FoV first and when I click the   Aim option "Hipfire (Config File FOV)" that it would show/translate the cl_fovscale value in the calculation field as an extra field, so I interpreted it wrong 😅

What is the formula to get the correct FOV value (format "x.xxxxx" in the config file) corresponding to the aspect ratio ?

I have a 21:9 1440p and my sister have a 16:10 monitor (1680x1050)

The targeted fov is 90 vert for both

Use the newly added "Hipfire (Config File FOV)" aim and enter your details (set FOV Type to Vdeg, enter your resolution etc) and it will tell you the correct FOV in the output ;)

my config cs = 800 dpi / 1.545 sens / zoom sens 1 / 4:3 1152x864 / viewmodel_presetpos 3 / monitor 24

Hello MS-community!

For the longest of time I've exclusively played Overwatch and I'm very particular about my aim. I've payed for premium to make my transition to Apex as smooth as possible since I'm not that good at this. I'm pretty satisfied with my OW setup and would like to replicate it as close as possible with Apex. I believe my aim with the heroes Ana/Widow & Ashe is as close to 1:1 as is possible (please correct me if I'm wrong).

I made the to cl_fovscale as per this thread to get FOV closer to 1:1 - Do I need to manually change my FOV-value within the game as well and in that case to what value?

Does my calculation look correct and what should the ADS modifier be at? After the edit to cl_fovscale I just left it as "1", is that correct?

Thanks in advance.

So is Viewspeed conversion not really relevant until the game gives more options to choose 2x, 3x, etc scope sensitivity?

I'm trying to convert from my standard hand-measured 32cm/360 in most games and I don't think I quite understand Viewspeed and why it was getting such rave reviews when DNAMTE first introduced it.

Yes, the calculator tells you that your cm/360 of 28.8636 is identical.

mouse_zoomed_sensitivity_scalar_0 "0.999976"

You can find the FOV setting in the config file at this location: C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\profile\profille.cfg

The config file values will override your in game settings.

Does this game has some kind of smoothing or something like that ? i have same sens in apex and in kovaaks but in kovaaks the aim feels more precise and manageable but in apex i feel it like smoothed/delayed/weird

I also have big issues keeping consistent when firing ADS. Just feels off.

Hey, thanks for the reply!

Just to clarify a couple of things...

MS-AL.thumb.PNG.aec12093162cc8f36247e766a9b4a809.PNG

1) Does the FOV-type matter in this case?

2) I used the Aim-alternative "Hipfire (Config File FOV), I put "cl_fovScale "1.2376" in profile.cfg - But the calculation says "cl_fovScale 1.272159", should I change it?

3) After the edit my FOV according to in-game is 88 and if I adjust it from the menu the cl_fovScale in profile.cfg reverts to "1.45375" - What should I do here?

4) The bottom highlighted line, Actual HFOV: 105.35 degrees - Is that the actual numbers I should be using to replicate 103 FOV from Overwatch and if so how do I adjust it without offsetting the change I did to cl_fovsScale?

Thanks again for your patience and wisdom.

Any update on the Battlefield V USA conversion?  I think @DPI Wizard mentioned that he was working on this and would post when done?  Eager to work on converting my sensitivity from BFV.

Nothing in particular that can be done about this. Apex is locked to USA 0%, so if you use something else you can only perfectly match one aim.

After getting used to the recoil I can say that strafing on close targets feels totaly weird. And there is a click delay if you fired before the gun was ready waht makes single shots just feel terrible.

I did some testing in the training area and that's what I found :

- There is a slight mouse smoothing

- Strafing while trying to keep cursor on a precise point will induce mouse stuttering (like the mouse not responding for a very short delay). I understand now why my cq fights were messy sometimes.

I hope it'll get fixed soon by the devs. Also adding the option to modify sens by scope would be welcome

EDIT: I forgot to tell that I was at 118 fps locked, and no fps drops occured during testing
