Does what im aiming for lose its purpose if im using viewspeed conversion? In retrospect this feels like a stupid question.

Yes, that would result in a different aim sensitivity.

anyone else feel like the ads sensitivity is a little off compared to legacy ADS in mw2 and mw19?

Glad I'm not the only one. I use Legacy for ADS and it feels slower. There's a couple reddit post about turning on mouse filtering to "2" and that'll fix it.

Which specific scope? Some scopes have different FOV in the actual scope than outside, and the relative sensitivity is for some reason matched to the outside FOV, not the actual scope.

The slimpro red dot I think it's called.

That might be related to this issue i've seen talked about?

I don't know if anyone can confirm.

This has to be hardware or settings related. I'm getting absolutely no acceleration or smoothing here, I've tested with both physical mouse and scripts.

Look at this test with scripts, each flicker you barely see is a complete 360 done in about 20 milliseconds. It's 100% accurate with no issues.

Same result with a physical mouse, it's accurate with no hint of acceleration.

Acceleration is definitely not on when set to 0, and mouse smoothing off also does what it says.

Just verified this now, the "Iron Sight / Reflex" calculation for the weapon you attach this to is correct for MWIII.

can you post your graphical settings?

I noticed a slight difference in the fov between mw2 and mw3. mw3's fov looks wider. For comparison, 118 in mw3 is about equal to 120 in mw2.

Does the option `MouseUsesRawInput` affect the test?

I've measured the FOV, and it's exactly the same and what it should be.

No, not at all. The acceleration and smoothing settings does affect it in a big way though.

I've double and triple-checked my hyperpolling viper 2 pro and every time I use 8000 hz instead of the motion-synced 1000, 2000 and 4000 hz it has really bad accelleration. So perhaps this game is negatively affected by high-hz non motion synced polling rates.

That is not uncommon, so many games have issues with 8000 Hz I usually don't even test it. If you have mouse issues and are using 8000 Hz, the first thing you should always try is to lower the polling rate.

I think they changed the location of the config. the config sensitivity tweaks no longer do anything. In fact, if you delete your call of duty folder, the files never get created.

The location is the same, but the config file has a new name. I've updated it now :)

This video explains the aim consistencies discussed in this thread. While the problem is not aim acceleration, your crosshair will deviate or move from the center of the screen when you strafe or swipe from side to side, almost like how Goldeneye 007 for the Nintendo 64 or Timesplitters aimed, but with reduced effect.

This is a terrible design choice.

Is this for Battlenet and Steam the same?

I had no Problems with aiming when i played the Beta (Steam) but the Accell feel is insane in Battlenet when it released.

Could not test it yet with the correct file, just wanted to make sure its the right one für bnet launcher too.

I uninstalled it yesterday in hope that it would fix the issue or at least give me less possible files to tweak. :D

Not sure actually, I only have on Steam. But if you can try to just set the sensitivity to 0.01 and check if it updates in-game that would give us the answer :)

Just checked it, its correct for bnet too! Thx.

Great to know, thanks for checking!

When you said you had no lags smoothing or accel when testting, you mean options in the menu where turned off right?

Or are there accell and smoothing options in the file that have to be changed!?

Correct, just turning them off in-game is enough for me at least.
