I hate to be that guy but any update on this?

It's not forgotten! Just had to put it on hold while prioritizing some code updates and BFV.

I think turning off Scale sens by FOV solves the issue for both Insurgency games, so that will probably be the solution. I'll do them both very soon!

If anyone's interested, the game will be free to play as an open beta over the weekend from Friday 7th to Monday 10th so it's a great opportunity to try the game before the launch on Wednesday 12th. The open beta will have all the content that will be in the game on release as well so it's a nice demo of the game if you haven't tried it yet.

@DPI Wizard Todays update added separate sensitivity scale options for each zoom level. Looks like we might finally be able to have correct sensitivity scaling in this game. :)

Excellent, this seems like a lot more finished layout and worth spending time on analyzing!

Sandstorm updated with all sensitivities!

Calculator says (in notes) "Leave "FOV Scaling Prefers Scope FOV" checked and set "Scope Setting" (under advanced) to Normal."

But what do I do with "Scale Sensitivity with FOV"? Do I leave that unchecked?

That option is supported by the calculator as a special option (Scale sens with FOV), but I would recommend leaving it on (checked).

My sensitivity in CSGO is 1.4 and its equivalent in OW is 4.4 based on monitor distance 0% and both feels good to me.

I use the same method for SandStorm with the both options checked but it is very awkward when in ADS. In detail, it is pretty faster.  Is the calculation correct?

Make sure you have all the parameters set correctly;

  • FOV Scaling Prefers Scope FOV - Checked
  • Scale Sensitivity with FOV - Checked
  • Scope Setting - Normal

Check that you use the correct FOV in the calculator as configured in the game, and set all the sensitivity values according to the calculator.

They might still update how sensitivity works in this game, so if you still have an issue give me all the details (conversion settings, scope, game settings etc) and I'll check it!

Here are the screenshots.

In my feeling, the sensitivity is 30% faster in ADS

I am in tutorial map to be alone. So the weapon is M4 and the scope is holosight.

To measure how far is it faster, I lower the sensitivity from 0.22 to 0.15 and now the ADS feels good to me that is why I said 30%. Also, now I realize that the hipfire is faster with 0.22 and better with 0.15. The chances are the look sensitivity conversion is wrong? I assume the calculation has changed in production.

Not impossible, there have been a few minor patches since I updated it. I'll check later today!

Just verified the calculations now, nothing has changed. The game does have some issues with negative acceleration (reports from the mouse lost), but it's not very prominent and should affect all aims equally.

So I use my r6 sens and tried to convert it in multiple different ways, but none of the end results are right.

My dpi is 800, am I just doing it wrong? Something with the ads/scope sens seems to be the issue maybe.. idk

MouseYawSensitivity=5
AimDownSightsMouse=21
MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit=0.022799
XFactorAiming=0.050505

Hipfire 35 cm
Iron / Red Dot / Holo 55 cm
Acog 94.2858 cm
Glaz 110 cm

Correct me if I am wrong on this as well, but this should be the scaling of my sens with each multiplier of zoom.

1	55
1.5	61.54763333
2	68.09526667
2.5	74.6429
3	81.19053333
3.5	87.73816667
4	94.2858

With 1 being 'Iron sights' at 55 cm to 4 being 'Acog' at 94.2858 cm

The issue with R6 is that all the aims scales differently. You can't match hipfire, iron sight and acog to each other, one of them will always be off.

They use different multipliers, I know that part; would that mean the numbers are off on my other comment?

Not sure if it's just me but I use 100% monitor distance and am pretty sure I've set everything up correctly including the fov but the ads sensitivity feels a bit slow and the focus sensitivity feels waaay too slow along with all of the scoped weapons. Could just be me but it certainly feels a bit off/slow besides the movement sensitivity.

As far as I know they haven't updated the game since the sensitivities were checked the last time so the calculator should still be accurate. I suppose it's a bit of a stretch since the game launched like a month ago but did you by chance play the game before release? The release version changed the fov type used for the config value so check you have that set correctly, I remember 90 4:3 used to be 98.67 or something like that with the old versions but now it uses 4:3 fov values. Might be worth deleting the config and have the game generate a new one as well if you played it at some point before launch, I know I had both the old and new sensitivity values in my config right after the update. UE often seems to do that for some reason.

Oh, and make sure you have "scale with fov" and "prefer scope fov" checked according to what you have it set to in the calculator because that would definitely feel wrong if you have those set incorrectly. Other than that I don't know what it could be, maybe you could screenshot your settings in game and/or the calculator so we can see if we see anything that's off?

Sure i can add some screenshots, fresh install on a new ssd, my fov is set to 90, it could just be because of how zoomed in the FOV is when adsing but i use 100%mm from my csgo sense to pubg and it feels great, perhaps i just need to play more though and get used to it.

Edit: I just realized that i didn't have the scope option ticked correctly for monitor distance, i'm used to the older version of the calculator lol

Yeah, I suppose that would fix it, sometimes you don't notice these small details before you post it and read it through yourself. :)

Is it possible to convert ACOG sensitivity from Tom Clancy: Siege for x1.5, 2, 3, 4 and 7 times in this game? So far no matter what I change or how I setup calculator it can't match my 360 distance and sens feels doesn't feel right in Sandstorm, aka not the same as in Siege.

Changing my horizontal resolution changes the 1.0X sens value but none of the other sens values (set to viewspeed vertical if it matters). Just going by feel it seems like it's a mistake and it shouldn't change either.
