I use a mod recommended by the PCgamingwiki called Star Wars: Republic Commando fix to add an FOV slider and widescreen support along with fixing some bugs. The PCgamingwiki page also has directions for getting rid of the mouse acceleration that is on by default. Oh also, my game crashed if I had a sensitivity lower than 0.5 in the CFG file and clicked on "options" in game to change anything, so that may hinder your efforts a bit.
