If you set the location to config file and the fov type to multiplier, then put 1.428571 into the fov box, it'll change into 100 if you change multiplier into hdeg 4:3. Put 1.428571 in profile.cfg, and ingame, this claims to actually be 102, so what's wrong here? (It isn't just these specific numbers, this is just an example, as the whole thing doesn't seem to line up).

@DPI Wizard Hey there.

I'm trying to convert my Destiny 2 Sense to Apex and getting a little confused.

I play 105 FoV, 800DPI, 5, 1.0 ADS multiplier.

I read on the calculator it says Destiny 2 Uses 100% Monitor Distance as Default, Does this mean I need to set 100% Up top for the ADS calculation to get correct ADS numbers for Apex?
If not can you advise on how I would need to set up the calculator to get the numbers I need?

I've tried Multiple different combinations in game and I just can't get it to feel right.
below is what I have most recently for reference

I'm just completely Confused at this point lol.

thanks in advanced

hey,  I recommend  change all calculator setup option "viewspeed vertical "

@HeXBLiTz

try
mouse_sensitivity "2.005262"
mouse_zoomed_sensitivity_scalar_0 "1.251484"

this is with 360 distance on the ads conversion - it's what i use and it feels fine for me - just added your 360 distance from your destiny 2 cm/360
this is the base fov, you'll have to find out and convert destiny's 105 fov to apex, destiny had quite a low fov even when maxed out though, so i assume it's 90ish - the fov only matters when you ADS though.

Other calculations I've seen are like this:
1x = 1.25 (round about here with extra numbers to fine tune)
ADS = 1.4

Always set to 1x, as this is the majority of the scopes.

This is a bug in the game, it displays the wrong value. The value you set in the config file is what is actually applied.

The issue is that Apex use MDH 0%. So while your calculation is correct for 1X scope, all other scopes will be 0% matched to this instead of 100%.

So which is the best way to setup the Calculator to find a "middle ground"? Like which calculation to use MDH 0% or 100% or 360 distance or viewspeed etc?
it's all very confusing for me sorry lol

So what do we do with Scalar 1-5 or does it not matter only hipfire sens and 0 from the calculator?

why do you try and see what you like most ?

just set up the sensitivity from the 360 from other games at start and if that did not work for you then change it to other methods ?

i like mine at 1.30 ads multiplier and what ever my hip sens is , that way when i use holo and close range scopes it feels 1:1 to me

can anyone please advise me where to put the number so that I also have hipfire sensitivity as for 1x scope? Because the hipfire is completely out of focus...

Hi, I have no idea what any of this stuff means in the calculator. I'm trying to get my 1920 x 1080 32 PUBG FPP sensitivity (same sens across all scopes) converted to 1728 x 1080 Apex. For some reason the sensitivity seems WAY too slower in ADS than hipfire and I don't think the numbers are right. I want my ADS sensitivity to match my hipfire. I'm posting what I entered into the calculator. Am I doing something wrong?

If you want to have the same 360 distance for ADS, select "360 Distance" for ADS in the Conversion Setup.

ADS should be split between "Primary" (Rifle, LMG, Sniper) FOV and "Secondary" (SMG, Pistol) FOV. Secondary ADS is closest but not the same to 1x, Primary is currently the existing ADS.

Yes, this will be done soon.

thoughts on this reddit post? Is this true the ads sens is messed up?

No, it's not messed up. It scales to MDH 0%, that bloke is assuming it should scale to MDH 100%.

Hello.

I have some questions. And English is not my native language, so please bear with my mistakes.

1. Is it possible to change sensitivity(hipfire & ADS) from config file(settings.cfg)?

2. Can I convert CSGO's hipfire sens to Apex's ADS with apex's fov set at 104?

*CSGO playing at 1024*768 stretched 750dpi in-game 1.5346623

3. What happens when I change cl_fovscale's value?

@DPI Wizard

I want to convert from CSgo to Apex, keeping the same sensitivity(2), zoom sens(0.818933) and FOV(106.26).

I thougth the cl_fovScale should be 1.518 since 70*1.518=106.26 and on page 3 of this thread you recommended doing this as well....

Zitat

You should change the Apex FOV to 106.26 to match the 90 you have in R6 (they use different FOV Types), which will make the sensitivity more consistent. The in-game FOV setting in Apex is quite inaccurate, so if you want it dead on set cl_fovScale to 1.518 in %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\profile\profile.cfg.

However when I use the calculator it says to use cl_fovScale "1.285714" to get 106.26. What am I missing here?

Is mouse_zoomed_sensitivity_scalar_0 "1.000000" in apex the same as CSgo zoom_sensitivity 0.818933 or 1?

Thank you, keep up the good work!

The cl_fovScale is based in 4:3 resolution, so the correct formula would be use 90, since 90 FOV in 4:3 = 106.26 in 16:9, so 90/70=1.285714.

Compared to the first scope zoom level in CSGO, yes that would be the same :)

So before the "Multiplier" option was added in the calculator for Apex I tried to convert my 103 FOV in Overwatch to the cl_fovscale value myself, and 1.22868960125 was the number I got. It seemed to be the correct number because 103 Hdeg Res = 86.631971 Hdeg 4:3 = 1.22868960125 in the config. It seemed correct because when I tried to convert 10 Overwatch sens to Apex with my Apex FOV set to 86.631971 (Hdeg 4:3) in the calculator (MDH 0%) I got a perfect 3.000000 sensitivity instead of 3.000001 or something and that's what I based the 86.631971 number on lol.

Now that "Multiplier" is an option, when I convert from 103 Hdeg Res it gives me cl_fovScale "1.2376". My 1.22868960125 value also converts to 102.3903 (Hdeg Res). Also, with 1.2376 (Multiplier) in the calculator, it gives me 3.000001 Apex sensitivity. I'm just curious why the correct conversion just so happens to be 1.2376 FOV with 3.000001 sens instead of 1.22868960125 FOV with 3.000000 sens.

This is correct, but

15 hours ago, Dosui said:

 86.631971 Hdeg 4:3 = 1.22868960125

this is wrong. The correct cl_fovscale formula in your case is 86.631971/70 = 1.2376 :)

This is because the calculator rounds the FOV to the nearest 6 decimals, in reality this difference is negligible.

I really hope they add different multipliers for diffrent scopes. I just posted a request for this in the ea forum. If others do this as well, maybe we will get if. (I know this is a bit naive, but maybe worth a try)

Hi all. Thanks in advance. I am converting my Overwatch sensitivity to apex. It looks like this: test.thumb.png.fa4473b8259c9f0a216dc03eaddb19a1.png

I am worried about the note that says: test_result.png.5d411e6b428e9e6a94c6bc8d8bb0804e.png

Also when I try to switch to other scopes the (like 10x) the mouse_zoomed_sensitivity_scalar_0 changes to "1.434049". What am I missing?

Apex uses MDH 0% as the scaling factor for scopes. The scalar is a multiplier to the base sensitivity, and not the scaling factor. And since it is applied to all scopes this means that any other conversion than 0% will be different depending on the scope. So in your case MDV 172.8% is 1.169931 for ADS (ironsight) but 1.434049 for 10X. In other words you can only perfectly match one scope/aim to your preference, and all the others will just have to be what the game scales them to.

Hopefully they will address this in a future patch!
