I've noticed, and I'll revisit it now. I'll play a bit and see if I can make some sense of it all :)

I've reached the end-game in the current wipe, and can set you up with any equipment. Hit me up if theres anything you need :)

Updated the game now to support change in turning speed, and added the PSO 1 as well as updated iron sight calculations. Will add more scopes when I get them!

OK, ADS now is Way slower... for example, it was 0.17 for        1600 DPI and 73 FOV,  now it's 0.11 for 1600 dpi and 73 fov... (monitor distance vertical = 0%)
is it working as intended?

ADS was wrong before, it was changed a lot since I last updated it.

ok, thank you for a great work :-)

Just a heads up, the config conversion for ads sensitivity seems to have the 0.1 minimum value for the in game conversion applied so it says the calculated value is too low even though decimal values should work just fine.

I hope 1x sights are next in line? I'm fairly certain the EKP-8-02 has the same ads fov as all the other reflex type sights in the game so the conversion should apply to the rest of them as well unless the sensitivity for some reason differs between them.

Fixed! Yes, I'll try to get a 1x next.

Just a heads up. Weapons without planks on them doesn't have the same sensitivity as weapons that do, so that means some of the shotguns, and a couple of pistols, all rifles should have them from the get go

*EDIT. In terms of ADS sensitivity that is.

1X is added. This is Rainbow Six all over again, FOV and sensitivity scaling doesn't correlate at all between aims...

Ok, now when you added 1x scopes my sens is back to 0.17 with 1700 dpi on FOV 73.
I playing this game for two yars already, as far I can tell x1 scope and ADS iron sight with detachable mechanical sight are the same (Fov and sensitivity)... The different (higher) sens are tha guns wihout any mechanical sights attachments: AKS-74U; shotguns; pp-9/91; TOZ-106; APS/APB; mp-443; SR-1mp; TT. Those guns have the same ADS sens (way higher) as any other weapons without mechanical sight attachment (see pic below - without that 6P20 Sb2 thingy).

So, if I understood correctly. My old sens for all weapons was  0.17 with 1700 dpi on FOV 73.  Yesterday I used calculator Iron sight/ADS and this sens became 0.11: now I use x1 scope calculator and my sens back to 0.17; in both cases Actual Vfov is the same (46 degrees). So I guessing that Iron sight/ADS calculation (that way lower than my actual sens) is for weapon without mechanical sights attachments, right?

I assume that's the case yes, the scaling change by 1.6 when you attach the 1X even though the FOV is the same.

ok, I just was confused yesterday with how low my ADS speed was compared to my usual :-)... that 6P20 Sb2 thingy and all other mechanical sights that installs on guns (p226 pistol, new m9a3 and others  (pic below)) are considered as x1 scopes in this game. This will probably confuse a new players a lot. Hope Nikita will fix it someday (two+ years no fix tho).

Again, thank you:-)

Ok, so the Iron sight calculation in the calculator is only valid for guns with no aim attachments, I'll clarify that!

Help please, first one seems to work fine?

Then I try to take the changed settings and use them for other games, or in this case just copied as the same.

Doesn't seem to convert it for other games at the previous 9 inches, tried those settings to battlefield 5 and it was crazy high

Is 0.41 your in game sensitivity? In that case you should put that in the multiplier 1 input box instead. Sensitivity 1 is the option to account for the total turn speed reduction of the armor/helmet/backpack you use.

Also, DPI Wizard will have to clarify how it works but since the sensitivities in eft are all over the place you might want to pick one to use as the base just to be sure instead of All since the conversion can only be correct for one of the sights anyway.

Thanks a lot, wow I thought they removed that armor bs a long time ago. No wonder low sens kept feeling off.

Hey DPI Wizard! I love your work! I believe that the turning speed reduction from weight does not affect ads sensitivity at all, and i also came to drop most if not all the sights here. dVJV6XE.jpg

I hope my links help you with the EFT calculator! :)

You're correct about turning speed not affecting ADS, the calculator already does this :)

Thanks for all the scopes, is there any way of testing them without buying? There's no relation between stated zoom, actually zoom and 360 distance, so each scope needs to be analyzed.

Unfortunately there is no way of testing them without buying them. Is there any way I can help you with the analyzing of scopes? I have some of the more popular scopes on my account.

I suppose it's worth mentioning that on the last TarkovTV dev stream Nikita mentioned that an optics overhaul is one of their high priority "tasks" so at this point it's probably best to only add the scopes people regularly use, they'll also be working on moving to a monthly update schedule so things could change a lot in the (near) future.

Actually yes, I probably only need the 360 distance at sensitivity 1 (can be measured with external programs) and a screenshot where you can measure pixels in both hipfire and the scopes to calculate the FOV.

But if the devs are overhauling the scopes it might be worth waiting. Right now it seems to be a mess, so if they manage to unify the scaling it will be a lot easier.

Hello everyone,

Hope you are doing well.
Been reading this thread to try to understand how the sensitivity works in Tarkov.
So basically, if I get this results:

"MouseSensitivity": 0.174179,  ===> I can change this one

For the ones below ===> I will have to choose one that will be applied to everything basically (scope 1x, ADS and PSO). So if I use more a Scope 1x, it makes sense to use it as default. I wont be able to have a customized sensitivity for the others like the PSO or ADS no attachment.
It will be of course the wrong sensitivty to use for the ADS and PSO. But there is no other choice. Am I correct?

"MouseAimingSensitivity": 0.142519, (ADS (No attachment))
"MouseAimingSensitivity": 0.237531, (Scope 1X)
"MouseAimingSensitivity": 0.138700, (Scope PSO 1M2-1)
"MouseAimingSensitivity": 0.113539, (Scope PSO 1)

Thank you very much for your help
