Do mouse pads matter as well @DPI Wizard It's my first time doing this so I wanna make sure I'm doing it right. I'm using https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NOD04CY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . Also for the scope sense and I switch to widow maker. Would I put 8 sense in both or 6 since it told me it was my conversion for destiny 2 in hipfire?

  • It's easy to test if you use scripts. Set the sensitivity to 1 which will give you a 360 distance of 54545.45 counts. Set FOV to 80 and line up something vertical at the edge of the monitor.

Updated Destiny now, the ADS scale was just changed from 0.5-1.5 to 5-15.

  • Added now, thanks for letting me borrow the account!

If they do, the mouse will feel terrible. Some sensors have problems with certain surfaces/colors, but this will be very obvious.

But if the sensor works fine on the surface, it doesn't matter if it is hard, soft, metal, cloth, plastic, glass or whatever; the DPI will be the same.

They will feel different because of friction etc, but the distances does not change.

will you guys be adding a pistol ads aim option? i want to convert my pistol sensitivity to my hip fire cs go sensitivity (viewspeed or monitor distance ?) . i know the ads is based on the nightshade ads and that its not much of a difference from pistol but it would be nice, in destiny, i find i aim pretty well for pistols

Added iron sight calculations now.

Seems like you used a sidearm for iron sight calculation. I think Dom was asking conversion for Handcannons, which have a different zoom value. It's 1.5x for HC's and I think 1.25x for sidearms.

yeah that is correct, i was referring to handcannons (old fashioned in particular)

I'm not sure if this is previously mentioned, but can someone  explain or point to a previous post about ads sensitivity of Destiny 2? Because, ads sensitivity seems to be split between ironsight and red-dot that I don't see any way to change two different sensitivities via game options. My game has only got an option/slider called "ADS sensitivity modifier". Not exactly sure how to adjust my sensitivity to 14.0292in/360 for every ads scope.

Hi, you never added Destiny sniper scope to the calculator.  Because of Destiny's limited ADS sensitivity modifiers it would be nice to know just how big of a discrepancy there is when you go from pulse rifle at 2.1x zoom (Red Dot you added), hand cannon at 1.5x, to a sniper at 5.7x. All sniper players would choose to have highest accuracy between their hip and sniper even at the cost of lower accuracy with primary weapons.

This is a loot game so it's harder for you to obtain a sniper to test of course, so let me say the following things:

- because of pathetic small corridor maps all serious players use low zoom snipers

- because of D1 legacy most players gravitate towards snipers with the old Destiny 1 Ambush SLH25 scope

- because of the above most customers would love to have exactly this zoom level available in the calculator

- blue/rare and more easily obtainable sniper than some others in the game for you is Aachen-LR2 with an Ambush SLH25 scope (also happens to be a fan favorite)

- other blue/rare and purple/legendary snipers that have the following scopes also land on the ideal 5.7x line: Ambush SLH25, Zoom 10 Point, Shortgaze SLH10, SSO-08, The Long Walk (this last one is not a scope name but a sniper rifle name from Trials Of The Nine with a unique scope also at 5.7x)

@DPI Wizard just to summate all that has been said in this thread, converting from CSGO to Destiny 2, because you cannot match FOV, just use viewspeed or monitor distance at 75% for hipfire AND ADS because 360 for hipfire will feel wonky? Do I have that correct?

Additionally, is it worth changing DPI for Destiny to decrease the discrepency % or does that not really matter when using viewspeed or monitor distance?

I would also love a sniper added to the calculator. I agree with using the Aachen-LR2 with an Ambush SLH25 scope from the post above.

Hello,

can anybody tell me if my conversion is correct? I'am a little bit confused about the FOV and ADS,  regarding the previous posts about that topic.

Many thx

Is it possible to adjust the FOV by decimals in the configfile? The 4% discrepancy is really annoying me. I want to have real 90 FOV.

Not that I'm aware of, but I've updated the FOV calculations to be a multiplier instead so it's easier to calculate your FOV based on other FOV Types. It doesn't change anything with the game though.

With the release of Shadowkeep, there's speculation that Bungie might have changed the way FOV works. Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/CruciblePlaybook/comments/dcyqgz/did_fov_change_on_pc/

So I've checked now, nothing has changed. FOV is still 96% of the configured value, and sensitivity is exactly the same.

Is there any conclusive ADS Modifier that is most accurately mated to hip fire sens? I've heard that 0.9 is supposed to be. I don't know enough of how this stuff works to tell. But is ADS modifier 1 supposed to be the closest out the box? I'm at least looking for the best match for hand cannon hip to ADS. I run 400 dpi with 10 sens currently. 34cm 360.
