  1. For FPP definitely 0% although I suppose it doesn't matter too much because most games allow you to use a fov of ~106 hfov so you should be using similar fovs in every game so there isn't much of a difference between the two. The one scenario I'd recommend 360 is TPP games with a fov locked at something low like 70 or 80 like some battle royale games like PUBG or Ring of Elysium.
  2. I think it's because most people have gotten used to these definitions, at least based on what I see on r/MouseReview and the OCN mouse forums.
  3. Yeah you're probably right. I think I've been depending on flicks too much which is why I initially preferred the higher percentages. Good point about the crosshair placement in the transition too, I know I had a tendency to sometimes lock my eyes on to the enemy and flick without worrying too much about the crosshair. Now with 0% I was forced to learn to go about it the opposite, and perhaps the more optimal/correct?, way by sort of focusing on "guiding" the crosshair to the target. It's been a slow process but I think it's starting to pay off slowly. I did play a lot of MW2 and MW3 so it's not exactly an new concept to me, it's just that I've played so much BF4 with USA and PUBG with Viewspeed/56.25% that I've rewired my brain to those. The game dependency is what initially turned me off 0% (I realize there's more to than just sensitivity scaling but I think 0% makes those other differences more pronounced since it scales slower towards the lower fovs) but ultimately it might indeed be the way to go since it promotes hand to eye coordination more so than relying on muscle memory and flicking to the target which in theory should make you more adaptable in the end provided you get comfortable with the scaling. I know it's not really an either/or situation since muscle memory and hand to eye coordination pretty much go hand in hand but I hope you understand what I'm trying to say?
  4. Yeah, I would call that fingertip if I had to pick from the usual three, but since you have the palm in contact I suppose it's actually more of a hybrid grip. I wouldn't really call it a palm grip though as you aren't cupping the whole rear of the mouse with your palm because then claw would technically be a palm grip as well since you would also rest your palm on the back of the mouse in that grip.
  5. I've found using Desktop sensitivity as a base (with WPS 3) to be really helpful, since it limits the amount of sensitivities a lot you're pretty much forced to choose one DPI and focus on getting good with that. Now the problem for me is I can't find a conversion method that works, I've pretty much tried every match % however I've narrowed it down to 56.25% and 0% because those made the most sense to me. The issue is 56.25% feels good right from the start but the more I play the more I start noticing that lower fovs are too fast so I end up straining my hand to be precise, 0% is on the other hand the complete opposite where it feels wrong at the start but the more I play the better it feels. That being said, I've been testing 0% for almost a month now and I still don't seem to be able to transfer my "muscle memory" from one game to another, especially if I'm going from something like CSGO with pretty much a static fov to Insurgency: Sandstorm where you're constantly going between different fovs. Every time I switch game it takes me at least an hour or two to regain my aim, same sort of happens in-game too where if I've gotten good at controlling the recoil using a 1X scope and switch to a 2X I'll have to start all over again with that one because it doesn't transfer like that. Has anyone else felt the same when they switched over and how long did it take to fully get use to it, do you think I should keep using 0% or go back to something like 56.25%?
  6. 0% monitor match is what most here would recommend since it's the most mathematically sound method, I'd advice you to read the conversion method guide if you haven't already since you'll learn pretty much everything you'll need from that. Just be aware that if you're used to Viewspeed or a higher match percentage it's probably going to take at least a week or two to get used to how it scales as it's a bit different, lower fovs using 0% are basically a lot slower compared to hipfire than they are on say Viewspeed.
  7. I don't think it has as much to do with the field of view as it does with the fact that these games are designed for TPP from the start and later had FPP added as an afterthought, I mean you could set the PUBG FPP fov to 80 and it's still going to feel like the FPP mode in GTA V. I don't know much at all about game development but I assume it could be that TPP games use a different kind of a camera type for the view than what you'd normally use for FPP so when they change the TPP to FPP it ends up feeling odd because of that?
  8. Honestly I'd have to recommend sticking to finding a PTFE mousefeet + mousepad combo that works for you just because it's (a lot) easier to maintain in the long run. The few metal feet there are have no rounded edges so they're most likely more scratchy than corepads and hyperglides with their rounded edges, additionally both metal and ceramic feet only come in odd or large shapes so you severely limit your options with those. That being said the ceramic ones seem to be circular as well as have rounded edges so those are probably the better choice if you still wanted to try something other than teflon. Your best bet would probably be these manufacturers: A4Tech Bloody - Metal Sharkoon / Gigabyte - Ceramic
  9. I've not seen a 15X in the 20-something hours I've played so far, I'm thinking they might have removed it from the game but left the sensitivity option in place? But then again, I can count the times I've seen a 15X in 700 hours of PUBG on my fingers so it might just be that rare in Ring of Elysium as well.
  10. @DPI Wizard Todays update added separate sensitivity scale options for each zoom level. Looks like we might finally be able to have correct sensitivity scaling in this game.
  11. Good to hear it helped! I don't know if it's the same for every model they make but I've found Corepads (Rival 310) tend to get a bit faster the first 1-2 weeks as they wear in, it's not a huge difference but definitely noticeable. You'll see the feet get shinier and the shinier they get the better they glide as opposed to some stock feet I felt were getting slower and slower the shinier they got. And as for other materials I know there's some mice on the Asian market that use ceramic or metal feet but I haven't bother trying any of those out because for now I'm actually really satisfied with the mouse feeling I get with the Corepads on my Artisan FX Zero MID. The ceramic definitely sounds interesting though but I think it's one of those things that's a lot more difficult to manufacture and doesn't really offer any significant benefits compared to PTFE to warrant the extra cost.
  12. If anyone's interested, the game will be free to play as an open beta over the weekend from Friday 7th to Monday 10th so it's a great opportunity to try the game before the launch on Wednesday 12th. The open beta will have all the content that will be in the game on release as well so it's a nice demo of the game if you haven't tried it yet.
  13. I was going to suggest trying a faster pad or one of the hybrid pads that have plastic fibers woven into the cloth but seeing how you've already tried the GTF-X that's probably not going to solve it since that's supposedly a pretty fast pad already, comparable with the Artisan Hayate if I remember right. Could it be the mousefeet, you say you've switched them but are you still using stock ones? Personally I thought the ones that came with the G403 were some of, if not the worst, mousefeet I've ever tried. The feet on my EC1-A were alright at first but I think they kept getting noticeably slower as they wore down, can't say for sure though as I didn't change out to verify since that was incidentally around the time I switched to the G403. I would recommend giving Corepad feet a go if you haven't, they're in my opinion the best aftermarket feet available especially now that they also have rounded edges. Hyperglides would be the winner if it wasn't for the severely limited amount of mice they support, the glide is very different between some models as well. Another thing is that if the humidity in your room is very high you're going to have a bad time with pretty much every cloth pad as far as I know, so that might be worth ruling out as well. I don't really know much about that though since the humidity here is always low so you'll have to research that on your own if you suspect that might be something.
  14. Yeah, I always do a DDU clean install for every driver update but I think this is more of a problem with PUBG or maybe even UE more than anything else. Battlefield actually ran perfectly fine with the latest driver but I play a lot more PUBG so that's why I'd prefer to stay on the older one. I will probably try a windows reinstall soon so I suppose that could help. It's not really a big deal anyway since I only play through Origin Basic Access at this point but I figured I'd ask and see if there was any other workaround.
  15. Has anyone found any other way to launch the game with older drivers other than renaming nvapi64.dll and renaming it back again after the games launched? It's a bit of a hassle to do that every launch and I'd really prefer not to update my drivers because in PUBG especially there's a huge difference between the 4XX.XX and 388.71 drivers, I have a 1080 Ti and my friend has a 1080 paired with 6600K's at 4.5Ghz @ 16Gbs of RAM and we both agreed the difference in stuttering and overall smoothness was like night and day when we reverted to the older one.
  16. Yeah the reason it gave you different multipliers for each scope is that you had the coefficients/percentages set to different match percentages both for the calculator and for the in-game universal aiming settings so the site calculator would compensate for the games scaling in order for it to match properly. It's worth noting that the calculator actually has the ability to calculate the correct coefficient to use for games that supports this kind of Monitor Match % based ads scaling so you don't even have to think about that, you can test this by leaving the Battlefield V (as output game) "Sensitivity 2" field blank and setting the conversion percentage in the calculator settings to different values. For example 75% will give you 1.33 and 56.25% = 1.00 and so on. It's quite useful actually
  17. Read this guide and, if you have the time, try all of the options then decide what feels right and use that. However, 0% is generally considered to be the most mathematically accurate conversion so that's a good starting point. To try that set the coefficient to 0 and leave the separate sensitivities at default.
  18. I don't know if the config file even works for changing settings? I didn't bother testing it any further but there's an option to change crouch to hold instead of toggle in there but it doesn't seem to do anything which is a bit of a shame since I can't really play properly without it.
  19. Oh yeah that's the thread I seemed to remembered. It does actually somewhat line up with my thoughts as far as "best" sensitivity goes as well. The best I've ever played was with, I think it was a ~45cm/360 in siege at 74 fov and before that 30 something in BF3 and BF4 on the same fov. Nowadays I've used a slow 59cm because I found it worked better when there was a lot of downtime between sessions but now I'm thinking about trying to get it back down to at least that same 45cm because it does sometimes limit my gameplay a little as it is. 35cm is probably the best starting point because it has that nice balance between speed and accuracy as Drimzi said in that thread so that's probably something that could be mentioned in a "starters guide" if something like that ever becomes a thing, maybe as part of the wiki.
  20. Just out of curiosity what is generally considered a low sensitivity around here? To me a fast sensitivity is like 30cm and below and slow somewhere around 60cm and above if we're talking hipfire. When reading game specific forums however it seems that some people regard anything above 20cm or so as a low sensitivity so I just wanted to check if we're all on the same page as far as the definitions for low/mid/high sensitivity go. Somehow I feel we've already had this discussion but I couldn't find it so I'm not too sure.
  21. Most pros, and streamers for that matter, seem to choose a sensitivity based on what feels right or what they feel works for that type of game. Take shroud for example, his PUBG (30cm) and Blackout (35cm) sensitivies are a lot faster than what he uses in CS (47cm) just because he's found that it works best for him. Anyways, it can be fun to compare sensitivities with pros but in the end I think everyone will agree that it's best to find that perfect sensitivity on your own.
  22. I hate to be that guy but any update on this?
  23. My old Deathadder 3.5G had that same sensitivity adjustment slider and if I recall correctly that's just software interpolation, kind of like windows pointer speed. It seems you can choose between 1600dpi and 400dpi in the advanced settings as well so if you ask me I would just set it at either 1600 or 400 dpi and try to adjust further with WPS and in game sensitivity. It's worth noting that these older sensors usually have a native dpi value and every other step is interpolated from that so while you could have the equivalent of 160dpi it wouldn't be the same as native, whether the difference is actually noticeable is of course arguable but technically there's a difference.
  24. Thank you, I mostly use the 2x kobra/holo so I'd appreciate that as an option, the 7x sniper scope would be nice to have separate as well. I found this in the changelog which sounds promising: "Fixed inconsistent scope scaling across all scopes, rendering modes and aspect ratios."
