Can you use the share button and post a link to your conversion?

Just to make sure, you are not typing in "0.022" as your sensitivity, right? Because that's yaw and pitch, not sensitivity -- your DOOM Eternal sens should be the same number as your Apex sens, meaning 2.4. but the calculator as posted by you couldn’t calculate that number since you didn’t type in the DPI for apex.

Also, if the sens still feels off, make sure that you are using the same/similar FoVs between the two games.

So, after the recent update my settings feel...off?

I am trying to get things back to default for everything related to sens, and go from there. Anyone know the default values?

I'm trying to keep things relative to Overwatch, 500 dpi, in game sens of 6.20. The FOV is 103

Hi,

so is m_yaw 0.022 the same as Mouse Horizontal Sensitivity 40?

I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to change that 40 to something else in game. If I enter m_yaw 0.022 and m_pitch 0.022 into the console along with my sensitivity, only my sensitivity changes. The Mouse Horizontal Sensitivity and Mouse Vertical Sensitivity stay at the default 40.

In most cases leaving them at 40 and just adjusting the Mouse Sensitivity Scaling is enough.

Yea but in the calc - if you leave it at game settings, the discrepancy is a bit much - 2.6% - and the sens would be 1.9 for me - and that's where it says Mouse Horizontal Sensitivity 40.

If I set it to console, the discrepancy is 0% and sens is 1.85 for me but that's where it shows the (0.022) yaw/pitch settings instead of Horizontal/Vertical (40).

So 40 is same as 0.022 then? and it's simply that the sens can only do two decimal places in console?

Correct, it's simply more accurate in the console.

Don't forget to disable m_smooth "1"  to 0 in the DOOMEternalConfig.cfg config as it's on by default, also add +set m_smoothing 0 to Steam Launch options to be sure, smoothing it's annoying as all hell...

Smoothing doesn't affect the sensitivity in this game though, as in the 360 distance will still be correct. It does however add a small lag and can make it feel terrible.

Mouse smoothing is already disabled by default (m_smoothing "0"). m_smooth sets the number of frames, between 1 and 8, that mouse movement is smoothed over, when smoothing is enabled (m_smoothing "1").

as others have said there is an issue with latests version.  using the values from the calc are way off and lower sense than stated (actaul mouse movment is greater than stated distance / 360).

Just checked it now, and it's still the same here. What launcher do you have the game in, and can you verify that the m_yaw, m_pitch and m_sensitivity are correct in the console?

Thank you for looking into this.  Here are some more details:

Launcher is Xbox Gamepass.

An example trying to match hipfire to 23.8871 cm per 360 : https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=59d84aef1a190abdd9a1bd5f0841c5d7

When physically measured it coming out about 35cm per 360

And some corresponding screenshots

Your m_pitch and m_yaw are not set to the default 0.022, that's why you get 35 cm.

You basically get this: https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/?share=17aca7aa26d67dd57039776f10bab102

Set them to 0.022 and it should be correct :)

You're a star!  Thank you so much.  May I make a small suggestion

when I slect hipfire this comes up:

doom2.PNG.651db4ba48348b9cf8c29a443573ecbb.PNG

When I select all, this comes up

doom.PNG.bb06902ccd1e718355294f3920a8d676.PNG

Maybe add the m_yaw and _pitch to the hipfire stats otherwise folks (like myself) may not know what to change .

Thanks again for the great work!

There are separate Hipfire Pitch and Hipfire Yaw calculations which have this. This is done to make it as accurate as possible when using the limited in-game sensitivity, but it should say in the game notes that the Hipfire calculation assumes default yaw and pitch values, I'll fix that!
